I've tried to suggest someone who's fairly self sufficient. Lots of stored basic food, especially dried slaughterfish from the nearby rivers, tools for mending clothing, etc. I've also given them the book that'll have maps of Roth-Roryn in, and a map scroll of the area around OE (which is the closest one I could find). They've got a bonemold bow, and some chitin arrows and boots.
