Hi, I am making a daedric ruin dedicated to Boethiah. It can be used as a headquarters of the boethiah cult. I made a separate chamber for the initiates of the cult. (I placed Boethiah heads on the pillars there) I also made a sort of throne for a leader of the cult. Only with a twist. As Boethiah is the lord of intrigue i placed TWO chairs at the place of the throne. It would be a great idea if there were two leaders of this cult. They would have to use intrigue to get what they want and Boethiah would love this. What do you think of this idea for the cult?

I think that's a good idea, especially if you make it so that there is a fairly clear distinction between factions in the cult?...perhaps different sleeping quarters? West wing and east wing?

would the two cult leaders be trying to get one over on each other for the respect of the deadra leader ?

i think that would make for some interesting plot lines !

I slightly remember there were plans for Memphala's cult - sisterhood of the spider for map 2, but I believe 2 cults could be present on this map as well. Vyvara provided some background and Graff even wrote very nice questline, which was lost during TR server crash. Do you still have a copy, Graff?

I believe the Mephala cult was planned for map3, that would make sence anyway.Then we have one daedric cult per map.

Mephala's cult (Sisterhood of the Spider) was indeed planned for Map 2.

The Boethians make more sense on map 2 because
a) It's close to the Boethian Mountains and
b) It sets up conflict between Boethiah and Molag Bal, who are known to be rivals

I was also under the impression that SotS was considered under overhaul because it doesn't make a great deal of sense for a known hermaphroditic daedric prince to control a gender-specific cult, among other things. Perhaps I've been misinformed.

I do know that Starcrunch and I had talked about layout for daedric cults on IRC, and this is what we were thinking and for what reasons they make sense:
Map 1 is for Molag Bal, already in the works
Map 2 is for Boethiah, as described above
Map 3 is for Azura, Indoril territory
Map 4 is Mehrunes Dagon... I don't recall why we did that exactly
Map 5 is Malacath, that one was decided last by process of elimination
Map 6 for Mephala and Sheogorath, it's the largest map and it's Dres country which means it can most easily support two cults, and Mephala and Sheogorath were considered the most likely to be accepted by the Dres after Azura and Boethiah were assigned

The SotS is in desperate need of an overhaul.

IIRC that is pretty much how the Daedra were assigned originally, with Boethiah and Mephala switched.

If Boethiah is on Map 2, does that mean that the Molag Bal cult will be expanded to contain a conflict line with them, and vice versa?

I'd guess the Map 4 Dagon thing makes sense in part because the territory borders Cyrodiil and there is obviously quite of bit of Dagon cult activity going on there around this time.

That is the idea we had when Groza, Lud, and myself discussed this on IRC. We would very much like to have ideas for this conflict, nothing definitive has been planned yet.

Doesn't the Molag Bal cult get an ass-whooping? If so, how would this conflict line work in relation to that?

The other question is what would the Boethiah cult be doing independent of the conflict line? It just seems premature to try and come up with ideas for the conflict line when everything else isn't laid out in some form.
