sounds fun , where can I get the original(old) texture and concept (if there is)? I didnt find it in the Oot: unclaimed section...

It's a vanilla mesh/texture. Look in any Temple in Morrowind (you do have it, right? ) and you'll find a Triolith with all three Tribunal on. We need one with just Almalexia, and one with just Sotha Sil. (There's already one with just Vivec)
If you don't have Morrowind, just get it! You won't regret it, and it's pretty cheap now.

I'm pretty sure Jellew has Morrowind. The problem is, that in OoT Forum section there's absolutely nothing to claim for MW.

of course I have Morrowind , but I realy need some kind of concept for the retexture becouse now I have no idea how the retexture needs to look like. I think its a good idea to make a new topic in the Oot: unclaimed thread (who has the right to do that?) with a short description about how the retexture needs to look like, so that everything is a bit sorted out.

Dunno who can do that, but like I said, you take the vanilla 'just Vivec' triolith (you know, the blessing giving shrine thingies) and remove the Vivec image and replace it with Almalexia/Sotha Sil's image (taken from the 'all three Tribunal' triolith) so that we have a triolith for each Triune, rather than just all of them, or just Vivec.
There is no concept because it's a vanilla item, and we just need it 'rearranging'.
EDIT: I apologise if this makes little sense. Perhaps someone else could explain better.

You know those shrines that always stand in dunmer temples? They have three sides, and each one represents a different "god" . One is Vivec, one is Almalexia and one is Sotha sil. Abover that we also have a shrine which has only one decorated side. That side represents Vivec. Now, every pilgrimage in vanilla Morrowind was dedicated to Vivec, but we also want to make pilgrimages to Almalexia and Sotha Sil. So, can we ask you to get the texture from the 3 sided shrine, and place the ones of Almalexia and Sotha Sil on a one-sided shrine.

I hope I did what you guys ment with the Almalexia shrine, and I whas just going to put it ingame for ingame screens but I remembered I needed to do something important for school first so I will post the ingame screenies tommorow. It took most of the time to unpack the Tribunal and morrowind bsa archives and search for the required textures and models but now I have everything I need for the other shrine together so I can do that within a quarter tommorow...
I realy realy hope I didnt mess it up but here is the render (I whas thinking about the sides: I think its better if they dont have the Almalexia picture but just plain stone but thats just an idea of somebody who doesnt know a **** about Morrowind lore):

For some reason, that doesn't look like the shrines from Morrowind. Have I gone crazy or did you change it a bit?

That's because OoT, or TR_Data now, is closed, or finished.

If'n you need help organizing the stuff, there's people who would be perfectly willing to help. But I have to agree, there are a couple more models that it would be real nice to have. Especially if we want to make a unique location.

I thought Lud's entire intention with this thread was indeed to work out any models needed for Morrowind.
As for the triolith, it looks okay, but the sides should indeed be just plain stone, essentially it should be a 100% copy of the "Shrine of Vivec's Fury" (can't remember actual ID), just with Almalexia in the front spot.
We'll also want one for Sotha Sil.
As for other models needed, I made a big list of things that could do with tweaking if we have the time/manpower at the start of the thread, and this thread contains a large discussion about Dres architecture. Necrom is another issue that could do with being sorted.

I finished them, and Nomadic you didnt go crazy, when I wanted to make the second shrine and I imported the original it looked much different from the first object I imported (I think it whas only partially imported) so I needed to redo them both but it took only five minutes or so.
here is the ingame screen:
and the objects & textures:

Yay! Excellent work. Those look perfect. All we need now is for Lud and folks to get these into TR_Data, and start sticking 'em in relevant places. (Primarily, my Almalexia pilgrimage in the Temple quest line. Also, the Chapel of Almalexia in Almalexia could probably do with a few of these.)

Well, here's a bunch of meshes I thought could do with touch-ups (as well as my instructions about how to put the trioliths in TR_Data, which is important to us questers)
| Bloodthirsty Crustacean wrote: |
When the triolith is put in TR_Data/wherever it goes, it would be extremely handy if the base object is an activator already, so that questing folk like myself don't have to muck around with BSAs to get the things into activator form.
On another note, there's also a couple of meshes that could do with fixing/remaking. I'll be back with the list shortly.
This is possibly too OTT, but here's the list of stuff that I'd (personally) like to see improved, from the Object Error thread:
Object: tr_ex_statue_felms01
Error: Vertices are very obvious on it. Could use smoothing.
Object: TR_ex_statue_llothis01
Error: Looks slightly "hunchbacked" from the front. Not important, though.
Object: TR_ex_statue_soldier01
Error: From certain angles, the helm's chin has a hole in it.
Object:TR_ex_statue_SS01
Error: Pose is unweildy, and helm is broken (á la dead Sotha) Helm should be fixed. I would really love to see this statue done even better, and perhaps a couple other Tribunal related statues in general.
Object: Mounted Dres Guard
Error: The Mounted Dres Guard's idle anim looks jerky.
Object: Silt Strider (wild)
Error: Silt Striders have no turning animation, and just snap to their new direction. (This could be something you can't fix though)
Object: Vermai
Errors:
1)It's "too fat"
2)If viewed in Preview window in CS from the back one can see that the parts of the legs are not completely connected.
3)Their collision boxes are twice as large as the actual size of the creature (particularly noticable in Lord Dral's chamber).
4)The Vermai's forwards running animation looks slightly 'anti-gravity', and 'slo-mo'.
5)Also, when dead, parts of it's body just dissapear depending on how what angle the player looks at it. |
A better/multiple Sotha Sil statue(s) is/are high on my wish list. (Would be from scratch, probably, based on triolith image and the one on the Velothi fresco)
As for other stuff, there's a lot of talk about Dres/Necrom architecture, and there may be the odd request needed.

You're a legend! The statues that need fixing are all currently in TR_Data, and the IDs are in my post. As for Sotha Sil statues, those'd be from scratch.
If you master the "statue from NPC parts" technique that has been used on the Saints' statues, and are really feeling ambitious (but not enough for the from-scratch Sotha Sil ones) you could read the book "Lives of the Saints", and create some more Saint statues, based on their skills and atributes there. I'm sure all our Temple creators would love you for that (though I personally would prefer more Sotha Sil statues).

I will first fix those statues and then I will try to make a concept model and texture for those Sotha Sil statues of you, becouse I realy to want to do some concept art for TR but I didnt had the "courage" becouse I wasnt very happy about the concepts I tried to draw. (I draw and paint often stuff like planes and lanscapes in my free time though)

I had a very, very weird problem with the firs statue: it whas IMPOSSIBLE to use the smooth function, but Im working on a solution. I already fixed the second statue and here's a screen of the difference (if its not to small to see):
I will post the rest of the statues later...

Damn, you're fast.
Well, that has made the difference, I believe (don't know if others less familiar with the statue will notice the change, but to me it is far improved).
Good luck with the others, and good luck on any from-scratch designs you come up with for Sotha or more saints.

I have the reason for the smoothing problem: none of the vertices are merged: they are all seperate! I dont know why the vertices are all split from each other but has anyone an idea how to merge all the vertices closest to each other in Blender without having to select 2 vertices and merge them? (if noone knows, I will just merge them all by hand)

I dont realy get what you mean with "unweildy pose" and "broken helmet" with the sotha sil statue, but I just tried to make the pose more "natural" and I couldnt realy find a helmet at the object so maybe that statue needs to be redone again. anyway, I just post the file with all the four fixed statues: hope you guys to think they are improved.

Great work. As to the Sotha statue, I mean that the statue has been based around the "dead Sotha Sil" object.
Dead Sotha has his helmet broken, wheras in reality Sotha Sil would have a full, unbroken helmet. This is why I think it would be best to create a new statue for him from scratch.

what do you think I should use as reference for the concept art? I just have a new pc so I dont yet have Morrowind installed and I lost my Morrowind cd a long time ago so any reference material would be very helpfull (I can already use the shrine as a reference but thats not a very clear image)

The other good source is one of the Velothi murals/frescoes that you see dotted around Vivec. One has the Tribunal on it, but I don't have the ID.
Dexter also had a good piece of art for Sotha Sil's helm: it was here, but it has since been archived and thus the pictures have been deleted.
I don't know who still has it. (It's going to be used for a book, but I don't know which game, or which book)

damn... 3 double post... but it's important IMO:
So... I drew some concepts for the Sotha statue but they cant be used yet, and IMO other people posted better ideas in my CA thread, so I can model them to. I would to like to know if the fixed models and trioliths are still going to be added to Oot, I dont see much "movement" yet and I think this should be done asap. I would even like to do it myself if I had any idea how it should be done. If there are more objects that should be modelled for the Morrowind plugin I would be happy to do them, as long as I now what to do before saturday evening, becouse I only have sufficient time in the weekends.

Yeah, Jellew's trioliths and statues ought to be added to TR_Data ASAP, aswell as Nalin's awesome duel-wielding Redoran and cloaked Ordinator statues. (Not so sure about banana-man Telvanni) Also Nalin's Dres Slave Hunter armour. (See Nalin's Hole) If Nalin still has the stuff, of course.
As for Morrowind models needed, the main needs right now are Necrom (direly needed) exteriors and interiors (to some respect: check with someone more knowledgeble to see what's actually needed) and possibly Dres architecture/add-on set.
There's also a bunch of creatures with animation issues in that list I posted at the start of this thread.
