I´m often annoyed with the fact that my English is not good enough to invent complete storylines for TR or to create anything else that need texting.

Apart from that I´ve got some ideas, like the topline could make you guess...

-What about a footrace in Morrowind? A comparison of the players character with a skillful athlet? I know, the dunmer don´t make big tournaments... But perhaps there could be somebody, the fastest dunmer of the world or whatever, who likes to be challenged.

-A further possibility for a quest: The preperation of a feast. For example: Two members of one of the great houses mary and the player gets responsibility to get ev´rything prepared within a week...

-Or what would you think about a quest that involves a treasure map?

-Another idea: Help so. who is imprisoned to get out.

-Or: You have to make a poll. About 400 civilists in Morrowind have to be asked about their opinion about sth.


I didn´t ever play Oblivion so I can´t promise that there aren´t things like these already... Well, I hope my ideas are of use at all.

For the footrace, there is the Race through Arynon (sp?) Pass.

I like the feast idea because its original and feasable.

I'm not sure if we have a treasure map quest but map quests are really fun so there could be one.

I'm sure somewhere in a questline somewhere there is an prison you must free (and plus, every slave freeing quest is just that).

I don't think the poll idea is very feasable and logical. Who would want such a big poll? Plus a lot of answears would be lies anyway so they would know it would be inaccurate.
And anyway, there is about 400 non violent npcs in map 1

That´s true. I suppose a poll would also be a strange thing in an ancient fantasy world... even in Tamriel.

Hi worsas, those are great ideas. Most of them are already designed or made. There is the race through Aranyon pass as Jedak pointed out. There is also a quest in which you need to find an apprentice for a Telvanni councillor and that's kind of like the poll. But the feast and the treasure map we still can do. In fact, I think the feast quest could be perfect for a little town, Ayemar, on map2. There is a daughter there who is totally bored and might like it. Also there is a nord fisherman in the prison of the fort who thinks that he is inprisoned wrongly. I think your English is good enough to design the quests for Ayemar. I would really like it if you want to design those.

I´ve been thinking about your offer... it could be fun dependant from the expectations you have.

Now:

-What must I do to be allowed for it?
-What amount of time do I have to make it completely?
-How do I design a quest? How much detail is needed?

Head over to quests: Design forum, and one of the threads there is for Ayemar Miscs.

If you provide a brief outline of what should happen in each quest, (how events go, who's involved etc.) that will be fine. If you go into to much detail, it takes the fun out of it for the actual quester.

Anyway, do that, and I and Viking will look it over, and say what we think about your ideas, and whether it will work as a quest. I would recommend you download the Ayemar plug-in (found in Exteriors: Finished, under my name) and have a look at the dialogue there to get a sense of who's who, and get your head round the lay of the land thereabouts.

Time wise, you have plenty. Map 2 isn't even in Public Beta stage yet, so we're miles away from quests.
