Hey guys, I became a modder here back in 2010 and unfortunately became too busy to follow up on any claims I made. I still really want to be a part of this, and now that I finally have more time available I can start taking some claims. I put together a small De_Shack interior today and would love to hear some helpful criticism and tips before I go ahead with actual claims.

Also, I did run into a small problem... Near the end of construction, I somehow lost the ability to move objects... I could select, highlight, create objects in the cell, but not move anything. When I selected a different cell I was able to again like normal, and when I loaded my cell back, I still couldn't move objects from the cell I created... Any help would be appreciated

The Interior cell is simply called "test"

I just realized I forgot to set "Illegal to sleep here" as well as using Tesame to clean it up. Here's an updated file. Still facing my problem about not being able to move objects tho...

check your preferences in the CS and make sure your movements speeds are normal. I used to have a bug where they'd sometimes reset to 0, making it impossible to move things.

Here is my questing showcase. The story behind it is the beginning of a Morag Tong quest-line I pitched here earlier.

The guild has fallen on hard times. Not only did the council allow a former outcast member of the dark brotherhood join the Morag Tong, but this member has now risen to the rank of grandmaster. Under the new grandmaster the guild has been very successful, but along with success the guild has also seen the rise of many very controversial methods. Furthermore, not everyone in the guild is happy with the current state of affairs, some feel their new-found success is not worth the price of their "honor" and "dignity", and want a change. In this quest-line, you'll get to help influence the path of the guild depending on who you speak to and agree with. Some members of the guild will openly speak of their resentment of the grandmaster, and the grandmaster, being a paranoid ex-member of the DB, will be very wary of this.

This quest has pretty much been a learning process as far as dialogue-scripting goes. And there are a few things I'd go about differently were I to restart it now.

Not quite monday, but hey

Observations!

You changed TR_TestPosScript, should've cleaned that one. There's also a bunch of terrain that's deformed/lost its textures.
Upon loading I got an error "Expression Error Unable to find object TY_MTnotefake in script TY_fakenote"
Getting a journal update right as you enter a room is okay, but I'd rather see it worked into dialog.
Medilo seems to be very relaxed, not wearing pants and stuff.
Maltius is a strange name for a Dunmer, has Ashlander hair
Don't forget your punctuation. Also, always use a comma in sentences that involve %PCName. "No, %PCName" instead of "No %PCName".
Medilo tells story then says [Goodbye], then you need to talk to her again to get her to follow you.
Journal is a bad place for statements like "I wish" and "Something doesn't feel right". Keep it factual, don't tell the player how they should feel.
Medilo needs a Goodbye-d greeting once you tell her to flee, or something. Having her recap her life story again is a bit silly.
I killed Medilo after telling her I'd let her live because I'm a jerk at times, but this didn't change the quest - it probably should.

Construction set analysis:

Properly indent, comment and capitalize your scripts, please!

All in all, this is a solid first attempt at a quest. It doesn't seem to fit well in the game though. It kind of conflicted with the lore about the Morag Tong. The tone of your dialog was good, but your spelling and punctuation can be improved.

I'd very much like to see a new quest using existing NPCs & locations, a bit heavier on the script side of things. Show me some nice things that shows you can handle the more complex things you'd be getting into if you start working on actual quest claims.

Thanks for looking at this! Yeah this quest was definitely a learning process. And considering I was basically learning this as I went im sure I can put together something better next time. Right now I'm working on the OE fighters guild interior, so I wont get a chance to brush up on this stuff for a bit. But right after that I'll see what I can do!

It's good to be back. Damn I wish I had more time to commit to this. Anyways, a while back I started working on a small quest that went along with one of my interior claims. The player encounters a stranded imperial cultist in a tomb, and must find a lost item then escort the NPC to the surface. Afterwards I wanted the player to encounter the same NPC in either an Imperial Cult chapel, or some archeological place in OE or Alm or something... Along with a finished book/journal the player can now read! but I believe dealing with other interiors is the job of the quest implementers. As it stands this quest is playable up to the point where you escort the NPC outside.

And while I know this doesn't exactly constitute a quest showcase, what with a total lack of scripting n such, I still wanted to post this before I forgot about it, or mistakenly deleted it Razz

I know Old Ebonheart had an Archeological Society building. I might use that interior to finish this quest and use it as my final showcase. But if anyone else wants to look at this and offer any input I'd appreciate it. Thanks
