I'll claim this. The imperials camped nearby are part of a prospecting team sent to investigate the viability of the nearby cavern for a new mine. Its dangerous frontier in this area with all the bandit camps so the prospecting team needs the soldiers for some protection in this area where outlaws operate with near impunity? If the cavern shows promise a new town will spring up here.

I don't know what type of resource I'd put in here that would make this story plausible, how large it would have to be, or if it fits elderscrolls lore, but I'm open to suggestions.

There may be too many adam here. Perhaps some should be replaced w regular ore.

misc quest idea:

The guards in exterior outside mine will direct player to the interior saying the prospecting is taking longer that expected. If player misses them quest will start in cave. Prospector there is nervous to go further into cave because he is a coward. He asks you to bring back evidence of a sufficient supply of adamantium. Simple quest. Collect X amount of adamantium from the cave. Player may give adamantium to prospector for reward or attempt to keep it and the cave a secret.

-claim there is none - prospector knows you lied
player keeps all adam BUT the prospector leaves and when character exits cave he will be confronted by the prospector and guards (combat)

- very little - personality check
<success> you hand over a portion of adam
prospector expresses disappointment but comments he will be paid well for his expedition regardless.
the cave and prospecting camp are abandoned

<fail> prospector suspects you lied
the prospector leaves and when character exits cave he will be confronted by the prospector and guards (combat)

"Collect some samples to show this cave has a supply of adamantium worthy of a mine. If so, a whole lot of coin is in this. Thats why I came out here all the way from Cyrodiil. Bring me <X> adamantium and you will be very well rewarded."

The cave is empty except for darkness and a massive amount of mineral deposits.

Any reason why the miner's picks are under ground?
Also, a Northmarker would be nice.

You found some good ones! I had to shift the majority of the tiles at the last minute when I found a tear and missed these. Should be fixed now, but there may be a couple mushroom clusters that need to be adjusted. Northmarker also added, although it is not aligned since I cant get Alpha to load in CS.

If you can't use the Alpha, you can always use the file that is usually in the "Parent:" link at the top. That's where the Alpha data came from.

What problem are you having with the Alpha?
