Almalexia 21,-30 Large school/abbey for young temple hopefuls. Tower should contain "headmasters" quarters as well as dormitories. The main building and the addition jutting from the base of the tower should be used as classrooms/kitchen/eating spaces/lounges and anything else a large boarding school type complex should have. This should be an interesting interior and should obviously be temple related though a chapel area is not necessary as the inhabitants would partake of the services at the cathedral, but small altars and even some private ones should be included.

I claimed this already and am reclaiming it. It is to large for just the things described, I'll an informational library, a room for rent, and maybe something else if I can get ideas. 6 floors, 6x6. Bridge on the 4th floor.

You sure you're up to this? It's a huge interior. Check Sniper's Gate castle for size comparison. This gate castle is slightly smaller though, so his castle interior cannot be used as a template; the entrances are arranged differently too.

If you feel up to this, granted, but please tell us if you don't feel up to this, so we can revoke it, okay?

In addition to the OoT packages, use AoT as soon as it's available, you'Re gonna need it for this one. :)

Don't worry, I can do this. I do have experience with interiors, I made a few before beacue I was bored. Also, school ends this week, so I'll have plenty of time to work on stuff.

Okay, I have started my prelinary work on this claim. 6x6 seemed to large for me, so I scaled it down to 5x5. It is still plenty big. I will basiclly be doing what Sload described in the first post.

So far, I am working on the first floor. Floor number one contains a lobby like area, a office or storage room, and somethign else...

Here is what I probally will do for the following floors:
2nd: Armory/Guards quarters
3rd: Library and offices
4th: Rooms, storage, and the skywalk
5th: More storage, rooms, and offices.
6th: Basic storage

I have one question, does this claim contain both towers connected by the skywalk? If so, then... It will make this claim much larger. And more symmetrical ;).
One more thing, where does the door(s) to the outside go?

Claiming. Two towers connected by gate. As the description; armoury, guards' quarters, small vault, official's office + a prayer room, some storage and a training area.

Submitting, please move to review. Plenty of bean-counter stuff, which was fun
Claim summary:

North tower

1st floor-office & area for counting sacks, etc coming in

2nd floor-vault & storage space (vault = dwemer items, skooma, moonsugar all stacked in a room)

3rd floor-Lots of office space and archives (ledgers, records, etc)

4th floor-officer's quarters (2 separate 2x2 rooms)

5th floor-storage area

6th floor-guard's quarters (dormitory for 4)

7th floor-guard's quarters (dormitory for 5)

South tower

1st floor-storage area / administrative offices

2nd floor-mess hall

3rd floor-training room (mats, dummies, etc)

4th floor-armoury

5th floor-storage area

6th floor-prayer room (like a tiny chapel kinda thing)

7th floor-guard's quarters (dormitory for 5)

Notes:
* I am aware that there is a mix of r and p in this claim, but it didn't make sense to have crappy furniture for Indoril officers or fancy stuff in a training room, mess hall, etc.
*The esp adds the following new items:
-TR_m3_bk_indledge_o - figures for traffic through the gate (open version)
-TR_m3_bk_indledge_c - figures for traffic through the gate (closed version)
-TR_m3_sc_indledge - record of of goods going through the gate
-TR_m3_note_prayer - a section from "Homilies of blessed Almalexia"
-TR_m3_de_r_chest_indgua - indoril guard possesions

TESAME: Clean

Fits exterior: Yes

Northmarker set: Yes
Loading errors: No

Review: Like in my previous reviews, "splats" (*) are put in front of the things that need fixing the most. Other problems may be overlooked.

IN-TESCS LOOK:

General remarks
- Useless prefixing of TR_ in cell names.
-* TR_m3_note_prayer : typo introduced "'Truly,' said one of the Guar, things are not as bad as they seem. For there is always someone worse off then you." Should be than, just like in Homilies of Almalexia.

i3-37_01 (South Tower, Upper Levels)

General
- No Northmarker.
- tr_ex_ind_stair03 should be moved to pos Y 2944.000.
- The door of the "schoolroom" should be rotated 180° so as to no longer block the corridor when opened.

Floaters
- TR_a_ind_pauldron_left_01
- furn_velothi_prayer_stool_01 (all)

Bleeders
- expensive_belt_03

i3-37_02 (South Tower, Lower Levels)
General
- Another door to rotate 180°, the one to the combat practice room.

Floaters
- Potion_comberry_wine.
- Both Com_Sack_02_Ingred should be lowered a bit. They're meant to be slightly sunk, and this time there's no ceiling below them they could stick out of like is common in indoril architecture.
- Some slight floaters on the furn_de_p_bookshelf_01 in the dining room. Have I inserted my rant against uneven tables and bookshelves yet?
- Plates in the dining room's shelf all float faintly. The only real egregious case, though, is the top of the tr_misc_stn_plate_05 pile, as the interval between it and the one below is larger than the interval between each other.

Sinkers
-* Both light_de_lamp_02 in the combat training room. Their feet can be seen outcropping faintly from the ceiling in the dining room below.

i3-37_03 (South Tower, Medium Levels)

General
- Both non-teleporting doors (armory and storeroom) should be rotated 180°.
- Door to the armory should probably be locked... Even if it's mostly cheap materials (bonemold, chitin, steel), there's also silver stuff here.
- The netch_leather_greaves on top of the shelf in the armory should be placed on a bottom shelf instead. Reason is the model is "hollow" and you can see through it, especially given that it spreads out of the shelf.
- Benches are rich dunmer-style, but shelves are poor dunmer-style.

i3-37_04 (North Tower, Upper Levels)
- Door rotation for the dormitory door.
-* Like me, you copy the exterior to the interior cell in order to check size, proportions, etc., don't you? Well, it's great, but one must remember to delete the "workshop" references after. :) Namely, all Ex_MH_Palacewin_03 and terrain_rock_wg_**, as well as the TR_ex_ind_plat01.

i3-37_05 (North Tower, Medium Levels)
- Door rotation for the storeroom.
- TR_bk_white_book should be rotated 180 on the Y axis (for an Y rotation of 95.70). Reason? It's upside-down. (Not noticeable for those who aren't dork enough to read daedric on a book's binding, though. :))
- The Gold_001 under the bed cannot be seen in-game.

i3-37_06 (North Tower, Lower Levels)
- An Sc_Paper_Plain is on top of a shelf, not a good idea as their bottom side is untextured...
- The items in the smuggled goods safe are not assigned property. They should be owned by "A Shady Smuggler" so that if the guards catch the player with them, they'll be confiscated (again). Especially the moonsugar and skooma containers, as these things should always be confiscated by guards. (Dwemer items are not confiscated usually, though; but maybe these ones are branded when they're seized.)
- One of the TR_misc_de_weight_04 is floating in the gray void...

Comments Huge and impressive work. Very few errors (I must have missed some floaters/sinkers in the last three cells, or they were just perfect in this regard). A couple of problems comes from Bethesda's meshes rather than the level itself.

Claiming.

The main building will house the lecture halls, into the mount. The tower will house the dorms and kitchen/dining area.

As for who goes here: Indoril are generally pious so Temple-related education makes sense. But Indoril also value knowledge of governance and general ethics. I could imagine this being a school where well-off Indoril send their children to become good Kinsmen.

While I like the idea of this place a lot, isn't this slightly in the wrong part of town? What we're basically describing here is a rather prestigious boarding school, only in pretty much the least prestigious part of town. Think we could we maybe alter this slightly and instead make an Indoril/Temple school where residents (let's make this adults too, not just children, since we can't portray those anyway) are taught basic reading, writing, mathematics, ...?

This is here due to the rather large Cathedral a block or so away, maybe you've heard about it?

This is also not the section you portray it to be, while this is not the wealthiest of sections it isn't some run down poor section either. This is mostly a middle class location and a temple run school should fit in rather nicely.
And that's how you get to Llama School.

Standard schools are generally not good interiors for Morrowind. The lack of children creates problems for a place that is only supposed to be teaching reading and writting and other basics.
And that's how you get to Llama School.

This is not a middle class location. The large cathedral is exactly why this is a poorer area. It's the embodiment of Indoril's rich/Temple providing for the poor. It's a big collective affair for those that can't maintain private shrines, you won't ever see a noble there.

Also see http://tamriel-rebuilt.org/old_forum/viewtopic.php?p=308766#308766

I'm fine with this being a Temple-run school. But for lower class kids/adolescents (if you live for hundreds of years I can imagine you're in no rush to go to school while you're still little) whose family can't afford an education. We should have a rich school in the northern districts.

You said yourself that lower class here was not the same as elsewhere Why which is where my statement came from. I also know you are ok with it, it was discussed in IRC.

If people want ideas to be implemented into Alma, there is a nice big thread for that rather than coming into each int thread and attempting to railroad them into something. None of these discussions should take place in the claim threads, especially when there is an established thread specifically for these discussions.
And that's how you get to Llama School.
