I'm thinking that this is a house or manor, just regular house and manor stuff.

I think that exterior does not fit the exterior. This int is too small.
I could fix it, but I want to hear a second opinion first and second this int could be revoked.

This int predates me, and you are a competent modder. That coupled with how I am too lazy to plug in my flash drive means I am trusting your judgement.

I'd like to claim this one, as I've been playing about with the Indoril pieces in my own time recently, and it'd be nice to actually use them for something in-project.

Manor house with living space for 4-5, smallish basement for storage and servant's quarters. de_r, plenty of plants and prettiness.

Download the latest version of map 3 a6 to see the exterior shell. This is medium size int, and not a small one like the previous version.

It's the two-storey octagonal building, right?

I had a look at Blackbird's detailing claim in the CS and it's the same as the photo at the top (apart for some new smaller buildings surrounding #14).

Can someone revoke this? I really don't have any inspiration for it right now.

I uploaded my wip in case anybody wants to use that.

Claiming. Will take a look at Cathartis' WIP file. I intend to make it similar to other Indoril manors. A couple of bedrooms, servant's room, and a lavish living room/lounge. Sizeable book collection. Inhabitant is an important Indoril person. No idea if this person would be used by future quests, that's up to the NPCers and questers.

Please revoke. Going to move next week, a bit too busy and internetty-less-ness-esque-like events going to be the norm. I'd release my WIP file, but all I did was add a vase. Hopefully someone else can use this chance to add something to Map 3.

Thanks,

One quick question. Cathartis' int looks a little large for the ext., Should I leave it or shrink it a little?

It's the correct size. :) You could use it if you like, it's a nice base.

Man thats a bitchy looking interior, I cant see blackbirds screnshot to well but see if you can use those corner pieces that cut the wall of on an angle, that way it'll feel more like a 8 sided room.

I think the piece is called: "in_MH_int_corner_04", combine that with the "in_MH_int_column_01" and "in_MH_wall_01" and you can get some interesting things going playing around with that. :)

Anyway Good luck. (and welcome to TR if I havent already said that before)

make the sides 3 pieces long rather than 4. That will probably still be a little large, but indoril interiors are always bigger inside than out. (yay standards!)

@RelinQ: It does use the wall pieces that cut across the square at an angle, the floor just extends underneath to complete the square tile. You'd see if you looked at the WIP

Thanks everyone,

I'll work up a shell and upload it to see what you all think. :) I'm going to make this one look GOOD! :)

Edit: Here's the basic floorplan. Let me know what you think please. :) I thought since it is the biggest manor in the neiborhood and the owners were rich...

It's the size it pretty much has to be to look right. I was asking for input on the floorplan more than anything else.:)

Personally, I think that the master suite is too big. I'd recommend making it smaller, unless you have a clear idea of what you want to put there. Going by your floorplan, I'd try to move the library and vault upstairs and reduce the size of this suite and possibly the two northmost rooms.

I'd also consider moving the stairs somewhat, as they create two empty 2x3 spaces upstairs in their current position. Then again, that space could be filled with planters or some other decorative static.

To fill the empty space downstairs, I'd suggest larger servant quarters (possibly dividing the space in two or three small rooms) and perhaps enlarging the kitchen or the storage space.

I agree with blackbird that this floorplan is huge for a single interior. I know that it is the one that fits the exterior best, but I think that you could eliminate one of the central rows (and/or columns) without problems.

Note that this is only my personal opinion. The claim is yours, so do what you think is best.

I can't really shrink the int any more without causing problems with the windows on the ext. Each of the sides has to be 3 tiles for there to be a window in the middle of each side (like the ext shows). This is the biggest manor (mansion) in the neighborhood so I felt it should be the most lavish and oppulent manor as well. That's why the master suite is so large. I plan on dividing it up somewhat with screens and such so that there will be dressing areas, sittng areas, and a lot of posh decorations. I figured there would be an extended family living here with an extra room or two for guests. If I'm too off base with this idea let me know and I'll redo it to be a little less luxurious.
Thanks for the input. I'm open to any ideas anyone may have. :)

the size is now correct
the 2x3 room at the top of the stairs is fine
any floor plan you make is fine as long as you do it well
Almalexia manors are always incredibly huge, this applies to most indoril manors as well.

Hey All,

Updated the claim. 1st floor furnished but not decorated yet. Ref count getting a little high, should I split into 2 cells? by the time I decorate the 1st floor ref count will likely be in the 750-800 range. Opinions always welcome. :)

probably should split the cells. Don't ever want it to get over 1000, and we try to keep things under 800 generally.
