I know this is supposed to be a high quality store but raw ebony and gemstones on a limeware platter might be overdoing it just a little. Besides, isn't limeware Dwemer? It's certainly got Dwemeris written all over it. Unless this guy's in league with the EEC which I find a bit of a stretch selling Dwemer artifacts and ebony is against the law :/

Otherwise this interior looks mighty fine.

edit:
<SamirA> the guys does have EEC contacts, but anything quite so impressive should be tucked away at the very least
<SamirA> and yes Why, limeware is dwemer
<Why> actually, here's an idea
<Why> the guy's got a complete set of Limeware in a container, preferably glass so that the player can see it but not pick it up
<Why> if that's even possible
<Why> (if not, we'll have to script them so it's impossible to pick them up)
<Why> the shopkeeper offers to sell it to the player for a bargain price
<Why> player can inquire if that's legal, shopkeeper will act shady
<Why> player buys it, exits store, is promptly arrested
<SamirA> oh we're gettin all questy here. I like it
<Why> it's a setup, EEC and guard is cracking down on ownership of illegal items
<Why> PC hasn't done that much wrong, but they just want to set an example
<Why> PC offers to pay a fine, guard says he doesn't give a damn, fadeblack, you're in the OE prison
<Why> you say shit's not cosher since you were set up, guard captain agrees to let you go if you take care of some known smugglers they have no evidence against (edit: or do some other unsavory job that's for the good of the town but not exactly legal)
<Why> cool?
<SamirA> i like it
<Why> idk, I just thought of it, there's bound to be plot holes, but it sounds like something we could work with
<SamirA> nah, just a typical sting
<SamirA> should be good

Changes done. The vanilla limeware is placeholder for quest limeware.

I like the quest idea, but what happens if you recall / divine intervention out of the shop?

I suppose that'd leave you with limeware for a bargain price. Fine with me.

The scripts should probably check for such an event then. Remove the quest limeware and replace it with vanilla for stackyness.

Fine. It's just struck me how difficult a job it must be for the guards in Tamriel when unless you take the suspect by complete surprise and are able to paralyse them quickly enough they can just teleport away.

Wouldn't it be better to simply disable teleport from the desired cells for the duration of the quest?

No. Why would the player be unable to teleport while holding a set of tableware? We're better than that.

Then why not make grabbing the tableware teleport the player into the castle dungeon and disable teleportation in that dungeon? Perhaps even blind the player or something. After all this is supposed to be a setup so the guards should take good care that the PC won't be able to escape. Perhaps with a high intelligence (or willpower or alteration) the player will just 'overpower' the antiteleport field and be able to get away or talk his way out (with high reputation or personality).

I've just realised: aren't there normally guards in shops to deter you from stealing stuff? The shopkeeper wouldn't want to do anything dodgy with a guard standing a few feet away.

How about having a shady guy in a lower-class tavern mistake you for the client he was supposed to sell the limeware to? The under-cover guardsman in the tavern who's been following the shady guy assumes you're the person he's looking for and arrests you if you buy the limeware. You end up in prison unless you can talk your way out, in which case you get blackmailed into doing some dubious task the guards can't do because it's illegal.

But remember to always have the "fight" option as every other guard in the game does that results in a failed quest / significant bounty.

Let's discuss the quest in more detail once the city has been somewhat NPCed.

Yes, the only thing that should matter for this is you making the display. Don't worry about the details.
And that's how you get to Llama School.

I don't have any ideas on how to make an interesting display (all my attempts at makeshifting something failed) however the last file uploaded should have all the limeware in one visible place so it could be good enough.

I'll do the changes if you want to remove or move the limeware around and add/change other interior stuff but I'm no longer touching the 'makeshift a limeware display' stuff.
