The vanilla Morrowind Ashlander camps had all unique names – save the ones which consisted of only a tent flap.
The Tamriel Rebuilt ones don’t – which I found pretty jarring when trying to put them on my map (image attached).

There should be a vanilla-style naming convention. If single-yurt names are supposed to be used for the non-yurt camps, then at least the three-tented ones (one which has a quest, the one north-east of Almalexia) should have a unifying name.

Yes, the four camps should have names. We have unique banners for three of them, but the one northeast of Almalexia could perhaps do with one too.

I don’t remember if we ever talked about how to name the camps/tribes, but I’mma gonna just throw some suggestions.

I think Armun Camp is an okay name for the one in Armun Ashlands.
For the one northeast of Almalexia I suggest Sennahanib Camp.
For the Grey Meadows/Soluthis one Kushimmu Camp.
And for the one in the buffer zone Obainat Camp.

TESO added three new Ashlander tribes, Kagesh, Ulath, and the Vereansu. So we might be able to use those names, too.

Well, four really, but the Mabrigash tribe has a lot of weirdness to it that I don’t like, and is called just that, Mabrigash tribe. Which is weird. So...!

I’d prefer if the Armun camp also had a proper Ashlander name; I think we tend to reuse names a bit too much as it is: the Armun-an bonemold set used in the Armun Ashlands which is home to the Armun Tribe and situated north of the Othreleth Woods through which runs the Othreleth until it joins the Thirr river in Upper Thirr which flows down to the Middle Thirr past Almas Thirr…
I do like all of the names suggested for the other tribes.
As for the TESO names, in this case I don’t really think they match up to Morrowind’s Ashlander names like Rats’ do; they sound like they could just as well be used for vampire clans or something.

Yeah, I agree on the TESO names. Plus, it’s been a few centuries since the Second Era and most of those tribes were farming fodder for the players. Put two and two together and those tribes probably don’t exist anymore!

It’s really nice to get good names on request for once.cheeky Incidentally, in case it ever comes up, ‘Obainat’ should probably translate to something in the vein of ‘tribe of many banners’ or ‘tattered-banner-tribe’.

Got it. The one that currently exists as TR_i4-273 I named Inuibbisa on the map, since that got no name.
