Probably the most hi poly model of the bunch unfortunately.

It really needs those round forms to represent the chollo cactus. I could try a low poly version of it though, the stem could be more simplified for example.

It's a top of a tower i created, i stuck it deep into the ground so it's just the top that is showing. I'm not sure if i'm gonna continue doing anything with it though. i have many new models, mostly desert plants and firs and spruces. dont know if its something TR needs. http://www.newvegasnexus.co...

Vurt's Texture Packs

Here's a pack of around 200 different textures i've created, some are now really old and some are just recent. The texture are in .dds, .png, .tga and .psd-format. Maybe you can find something useful for a model you have or maybe you see something that inspires you to model something. You can use th...

I think the old leaves looked like they were covered in a layer of ash, not bleak enough? Hmm, I could desaturate the new ones a bit more to remove any hint of green if that is preferable. yeah i made a "full" tree too since i already have 2 with less leaves, the new was inspired by Daedri...

Good suggestions.

About the structure, i don't know where i'm going with that yet. It's quite organic looking when i change to my original texture (telvanni-like), i made it in the same program in which i create my trees usually (NGplant - which isnt meant for creating constructions really).

Re: Vurt's Showcase

The screens contain way too much flora for Deshaan It's the Ashlands quickly retextured to look like, well, maybe not Deschaan, but something bleaker than the Ashlands. The new plants and trees acts as replacers for the normal Ashland trees, so it's all very chaotic to say the least. So don't mind ...

I filled the small cavities in the bark with a white/blue salt and reduced the roots. I also changed the leaves planes a bit.

its hard to tweak or even create the textures without knowing the final color scheme of the landscape.

i got a bit caught up with the first part + that it was called a watercarrying tree = would probably look healthy with green leaves etc. But it's easy to fix. Here's a less healthy looking tree, with a fatter trunk, makes it look less "normal". Maybe it's too fat now instead though hehe ht...

Cool nest :) i made another model, i spent a bit more time with this one. http://piclair.com/2yq1e http://piclair.com/xpn9h It's not that hi-poly, the file is less than 100kb and that's with added verex painting (which ups the file size). I can shrink it further by removing roots (all roots are deta...

The textures/colors are hardly final, i didnt want to put much work into that since i'm not sure you'd even like the model - and you didnt. But it's no problem, i'll read the whole thread later on so i can figure out what you're looking for.

Some very nice concept art in this thread :) i'll see if i can create some other varieties, if you still need mushrooms, that is.

Yes, there's always the possiblity to create a tree replacer i guess, i'll probably look into that. But it would also be fun to create some low poly trees or plants for TR.

I'm not saying you should use exactly those trees in the screens. I can make low poly trees too. But i'm not sure i agree that they'd look out of place even if a bit hi-poly, not for most people at least. Mesh replacers and texture packs tend to be extremely popular, if not the most popular mods for...

There was a post earlier with a tree that had a large base with roots (water carrying tree: http://s1142.photobucket.com/albums/n608/daedriclord/?action=view&current=Watercarryingtree.jpg ), i made a rather quick attempt: http://piclair.com/data/74xer.jpg it's very low poly, less than most MW tr...

Is that with the latest version? I thought i fixed it for the latest version, or even in 1.01 which is noq quite old (i tend to update my mods - very frequently). But I can easily fix collision problems, sometimes i forget all about them since i use TCL in the console to fly around and check out how...

Need some new trees?

If you need someone to replace the trees, i could maybe help. I would prefer if TR used separate trees, that it didnt point to the original trees (since this can cause problems for people using .esp-less tree replacer mods - like mine or vality's etc). I can make trees of the same height and trunks ...
