Hey, it's good to see another upcoming modeler... You seem to be eager to learn, and you are progressing well. I have a few comments though... The UV map: I see that you have made the same mistake as I did, when I made my first few models. You probably shouldn't make only one texture for the whole m...

Here is a picture of my progress. Please comment, as a bit of guidance is always good... I don't know about the textures, I have just tried to estimate what was appropriate for the plants. As a word of advice: make sure these models are dead-on, 100 percent mathematically correct. Make sure all pivot points of your models are in sensible places, to make rotation easy and efficient. Also make sure that the building proportions are a perfect multiple of the base size to enable scaling ...

Thank you for the comments... If it is not too big a job (or just a bit boring), then I wouldn't mind you changing the small issues... I'll keep your critique in mind when making future models. And thank you for mentioning the NiStencilProperty, I wasn't sure why my models were always exported with ...

which one would be the best/most efficient to use with MW? I haven't tried any other program than Blender, but it works perfectly well, and I would recommend using it... How do I get the .nif files into blender? I have the nif tools stuff, but I still cant figure it out If you have downloaded the ....

I use blender, it works perfectly, but if you are rich or know the shady sites of the Internet, 3dmax and Maya can be used too... If you need some help with blender and mesh making, this site is a good resource: http://niftools.sourceforge.net/wiki/Blender It is also there you can downloa...

Okay, I'll take a look at this... I thought i had changed the directory, but I'll make sure the next time... And just to be on the safe side, are there any other things I need to know about naming conventions? Does the folders need the TR prefix too? Should the name of the meshes and textures be fx....

- You should do something about the shading. Currently the petals have a rather odd metallic sheen. It looks to me as if the specular color on the material hasn't been set to black, which can cause that. Do you mean in-game, or in nifskope? I know they look weird in nifskope because the colors have...

I have worked a bit on the models... I have added some vertices to the medium mushroom (which I think have done wonders) and I tried making the transition on the leaves, which I think works rather well. Yeah, I think that is the only thing available at the moment... Mushrooms always seem to be needed... When Deshaan Plains have models available for claiming it will hopefully be completely different, although I have grown kind of fond of mushrooms... Good luck with the modeling, I'll look forward to...

I did quite a few models before I was promoted, but my advice would be to try making some of the objects from this claim: http://tamriel-rebuilt.org/old_forum/viewtopic.php?t=22858 Making these objects will show that you can follow the instructions and that you are able to make a model fr...

Is it just me or are the sizes off? It wasn't until yesterday that I discovered from the atmospheric drawing, that the medium mushroom was a lot bigger (it didn't have a scale on the concept drawing). The tall and the big mushroom should be scaled properly, but I can always tweak them a bit. I'll c...

An idea for some plants in the region, inspired by glasswort and strange plants from Socotra Island.
