So no more discussing who the dres are, let's get a concept and get the tr ball going We should have the basic things figured out, but apparently we don't, so we have ...

Before I say anything, let me make it very clear to everyone that one of the biggest problems with this project making progress is when bad ideas gather steam. Stopping them becomes a fiasco, and it takes a mean-spirited person with authority to tell everyone to stop. That being said, Turelio is a v...

Temporarily out of retirement to spread knowledge of pussy-getting. You can't make a girl like you, and that's all there is to it. There aren't any tricks or gimmicks that'll work to your advantage and make a girl miraculously want to hang off your arm and dream about what's in your boxers. Therefor...

For the sake of beating a dead horse, I'll cast another vote against the hermaphrodite idea. It's been done with Vivec, and I don't think we need to do it again. As for the priestly garb, I'd like to see some masks. Something similar to the masks that Lute's Yoku god concepts wear, but shaped so tha...

The two main religions are the Yoku Temple, and Imperial Cult. The Yoku Temple is the largest, since the Imperial Cult only has a strong influence in Taneth, and smaller influences in Rihad and some of the Lhotunic cities. The Yoku Temple, by contrast, is revered in all Crown cities, and has modest ...

Redguards are what we're working on now. If you read the lore regarding them at The Imperial Library, or at any official Elder Scrolls lore source, you will see that they are in no way African. Their culture has some influences from many different real-world cultures, but they are unique for the mos...

I think if you're going for something that is beautiful, you need to huck your ideas of script out the window. Find an artist and ask them to draw you some concepts for a linear-based tattoo, with emphasis on the fluid of movement. Beauty in art is much easier to achieve when we aren't hindered by s...

I'd agree with the Lady, the PGE's are a good place to start for a quick and broad overview of the current lore. You may also want to read various books about the Daedra to get an understanding of what they're up to. Like Nomadic said, there's a whole hell of a lot of lore for the Elder Scrolls, and...

You know what amazes me? This is the deadliest school shooting in U.S. history, with 32 dead. That being said, we are fucking armed . I struggle to figure out why our deadliest shooting hasn't left hundreds dead. Now, let's not let this devolve into a gun control thingy. Politic-speak isn't allowed,...

That's not the case in Hammerfell. Morrowind was a self-goverened province, for the most part, so the Empire built the forts there for insurance purposes. Hammerfell regained it's political freedom by force (and so odds are any Imperial forts would have been destroyed or taken over), and became part...

The models are fantastic, and the textures are really coming along. In terms of color, I think it could be muddied up a bit. The blue could be less of a pure blue, and given a more dirty feel to it. The reflections seem bright too, I see areas on the texture that look like they are almost pure white.

You have the Imperial bias down pat, and the rhetoric is convincing. However, you forgot to mention the newest Redguard political faction, the Lhotunics. They are based in Sentinel, and are a midground between the two extremes. Essentially, they have a respect for the Empire, but a reverance for the...

Assembling the Goldmoor Region (not quick and easy)
Now that we have Goldmoor objects in the OoT file, I have to take the objects and put them into a new region, so that the region can be generated properly, and we don't have to do it all by hand. However, if any of us want to get exterior claiming open in a timely fashion, I'm going to need help. Ea...

Tomorrow I start actively putting together the GM region in the CS. When the latest OoT was released, I did a lot of testing, trying to put together a new region from scratch. If you want to think about quests for the Mage's Guild in Taneth, don't think up anything too grand. Keep in mind that, although they may be well-funded, they have limitations placed upon them because of the culture. Sure, the Taneth government is pro-Imperial and would let them do whatever, but the...

I thought of something at work today. A while ago, Sload drew up a chart (which had a simply horrid color scheme) that showed which factions were in each city. I'm going to be sticking to it, as it is well thought-out, and gives three factions per city, reflecting the culture and values that the cit...

I like this for two reasons. First, it shows the kind of extensive forethought we need to be doing while creating a city. Second, Starcrunch is the only one that has gone out on a limb to propose a defined plan for the city. This is what I have been looking for all along, not petty arguments about t...

Keep in mind that nothing anyone says in this thread is final. Yes, Sload can make up lore. So can anyone else. You can make up lore for anything that doesn't already have pre-existing lore, so long as there is nothing in lore that would contradict this, and so long as it makes sense in terms of wha...

Clavilla is a horrible name. Sload's argument that we could transfer the qualities of Clavilla to one of her daughter's is a valid one, however abrasive the presentation of it may be. My concern is that simply having Clavilla dead is going to do little, if anything, to solve the issue of la nombre m...
