Claiming i3-286
I'd like to claim this Alchemist's Collegde. I know I haven't been present in the past, but now I have five days of spare time to finish it off.
So I'd like to claim it, and may I please get a photo of it?

Notes on Racial Phylogeny: Discussion
While I was playing a Morrowind, I found this in Elda Fire's house in Seyda Need. It was interesting and seemed that it would offer something to the project, so I am submitting this topic to discussion, to expand on the subject. The title says it all:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Notes on Racial Phylogeny
After much analysis of living specimens, the Council long ago determined that all "races" of elves and humans may mate with each other and bear fertile offspring. Generally the offspring bear the racial traits of the mother, though some traces of the father's race may also be present. It is less clear whether the Argonians and Khajiit are interfertile with both humans and elves. Though there have been many reports throughout the Eras of children from these unions, as well as stories of unions with daedra, there have been no well documented offspring. Khajiit differ from humans and elves not only their skeletal and dermal physiology -- the “fur†that covers their bodies -- but their metabolism and digestion as well. Argonians, like the dreugh, appear to be a semi-aquatic troglophile form of humans, though it is by no means clear whether the Argonians should be classified with dreugh, men, mer, or (in this author's opinion), certain tree-dwelling lizards in Black Marsh.
The reproductive biology of orcs is at present not well understood, and the same is true of goblins, trolls, harpies, dreugh, tsaesci, imga, various daedra and many others. Certainly, there have been cases of intercourse between these "races," generally in the nature of rape or magickal seduction, but there have been no documented cases of pregnancy. Still the interfertility of these creatures and the civilized hominids has yet to be empirically established or refuted, likely due to the deep cultural differences. Surely any normal Bosmer or Breton impregnated by an orc would keep that shame to herself, and there's no reason to suppose that an orc maiden impregnated by a human would not be likewise ostracized by her society. Regrettably, our oaths as healers keep us from forcing a coupling to satisfy our scientific knowledge. We do know, however, that the sload of Thras are hermaphrodites in their youth and later reabsorb their reproductive organs once they are old enough to move about on land. It can be safely assumed that they are not interfertile with men or mer.
One might further wonder whether the proper classification of these same “races,†to use the imprecise but useful term, should be made from the assumption of a common heritage and the differences between them have arisen from magickal experimentation, the manipulations of the so-called "Earth Bones," or from gradual changes from one generation to the next.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I liked the part about the daedra most. Other discussions on TR stated that daedra, mortal hybrids didn't exist, and they might not, but it hasn't been utterly unheard of. And they also seemed to know the "biology" of certain daedra, and didn't say it was impossible for them to reproduce physically, so we still don't have any info about how they reproduce Tamriel. I was surprised to see that there were stories of igmas and harpies forcing themselves on to people.
The fact that they never found a hybrid child (whether half daedra or otherwise), makes it, in some sense, believable. Who would want to show off their half Dremora or half-harpie children? I was curious to see whether members of both sides (mortals and monsters) would ever accept their youth. I know that normal civilization would reject a daedra hybrid, but would a daedric cult consider the child an abomination, or a saint? And if there was a daedra-hybrid, if it dies, does its spirit go to Oblivion as a normal daedra, and then may come back to Tamriel in their hybrid form like another Daedra being summoned?

I liked your suggestions, and I do believe that that is at the momment going to be included, or should be included.
See, originally the Seekers were supposed to be just three members of the Vampire Line, not council members though, that were rendered emotionless due to the mind link. Therefore bound to the ambitions of the Council. I intended them to be elite assassins who were in charge of taking out the “knowledgeable†trash. But then I realized that there were a few things wrong.
First off the assassins do not have the same capacities as the ancestral curse. In Velothi history, dunmer prayed to their ancestors for knowledge and good fortune, and insight on what was to come. This leads me to believe that the ancestral spirits are on a completely different level of existence then all that is physical. The ancestral spirits, being able to give insights or “visions†into the future or of things unknown, obviously must have the power to sense things before their happenings. And of course everyone’s heard of something similar in the ES. Take Ashlanders for example. They pray to their ancestors, and there ancestors protect them, maybe give them a nice little prophetic dream here and then, and a lot of other stuff.
Ancestors are beings that seem to be, in some way, “all-knowingâ€Â. I don’t mean to say that they actually no everything, but rather they know their jobs. In this instance, the souls or spirits of the Mouths or Vampires are empty, and the emptiness is filled with relentless ambition, the Dres ambitions. Considering that they now have ancestral spirit status, and that they are part of an immaterial world, they have access to a lot more then mortals do.
Of course, since the vampires are very into their beliefs, they pray to their ancestors and most probably stay in contact with the “other worldâ€Â. By 12 hours I didn’t mean like you had twelve hours to live, I just meant to show how the curse does not stop until it has completed it’s mission. It’s not powerful enough to an entire empire, but it can shut up small bests rather easily.
Because it is a curse, it can not use power freely, and therefore is single-purposed on keeping the council secret.

Lore proposal, please read.
I was wondering if we could include this lore in the House Dres production. I invented it to make the secret vampire council seem a bit more believable, secrecy wise.
Arms of the Countless Seekers.
Dres beliefs are strongly based on ancestral powers and family guardians. The souls or spirits of the deceased are said to look over their loved ones and the whole of House Dres. It is said that every home has its own shrine in which the living pray to their ancestors.
Now, here’s where the new lore comes in. Let’s do a bit of a re-cap on the vampires of Dres. The council was originally formed by Kizumet-e, who died by the hands of Lord Indoril Nerevar. Now, since the formation of this secret council, all the grand members of it (the vampires) where kept secret and controlled The House via a mind link with their own, personalized mouths. Each councilor had a mouth, and used the mouth to do their will in controlling Dres; dispatching spies or assassins, gathering information, or controlling the house in general. The mouths themselves are known as the real council of House Dres, though they are secretly controlled by the Council of Kizumet-e. These mouths are considered to be of the highest and most powerful ranks of The House. The grand Viceroy of Dres is only one of the mouths, probably controlled by the leader vampire of the Council of Kizumet-e.
Over certain periods of time, the mind link which connects master and servant deteriorates the mind of the mouth, while the vampire’s mentality remains constant. The Arms of the Countless Seekers is a curse, if you will. A force that is created from the souls of the mouths which have grown empty and emotionless and sometimes mad with the mind link. This effect induces the will to return Morrowind to its initial, Imperial-free state. The ambitious, yet chaotic spirits of the Mouths and sometimes the Councilors themselves become absorbed into the curse, and let it grow in strength.
If a Vampire or Mouth decides to betray the council, and release the truth, the Arms of the Countless Seekers will waste no time to deal with the matter. Also if one finds out about the secrets of Dres, and is not one who is permitted, the curse will be relentless, and consume all that stand in the Councils way.
A spy, for example, discovers the truth. He has a family of his own, children too, but the curse is relentless. The moment the knowledge touches his mind, he is a doomed man (or mer). How does the curse work? With the spirits of which it is made up by. The spy would have less then 12 hours before the emptiness an malevolence of the curse consume him.
The most fascinating thing about this curse is how it affects everything. Once a well known nobleman disappears, you would think it would be the talk of the crowd. But no. What was once a great nobleman is now a distant memory. What was once a memory is now a spec of the imagination, and when all references and memories of that person are lost, the being’s existence is completely forgotten.
However, this curse is not the Council of Kizumet-e’s private phantasmal assassination squad, it is a guardian force that can not be tamed, and only activates when its purpose is struck. It is also said, that when at last Morrowind has been restored to its “former†glory, that the curse will subside, and that the countless souls of which where consumed by it will be freed. The breaking of the curse is foreseen to be a most beautiful event. When one ascends to the Great Council, they are gifted a vision. This single vision of this legendary period makes the vampires unimaginably ambitious and relentless to their goals.
May you guys please comment about this subject? I wanted to see if it would fit in well. The secret of the council would be a lot more believable if they had this guardian curse (which is both good and evil; daedra like) protected the secret, at least that is what I thought. And remember, once someone is consumed, they are forgotten.
