Joining the Dark Brotherhood

I was trying to join the Dark Brotherhood, so that I could be rewarded for my wanton slaying of random people. The Speaker told me to go kill Rufio, so I did, and then slept, and he told me to go to Cheydinal and try to open the door in the basement of the abandoned house, and when questioned answer...

Random Thought

Here's an idea. People are always doing mods to update old iterations of game to a new format (case in point, the Dark Forces for Jedi Academy mod). But, how about this: Rebuilding a new game... in a old engine? Such as making Oblivion on the Arena engine. Or World of Warcraft on the Warcraft 1 engi...

*ahem.*

The GeForce 7300 comes in four editions: the SE, the LE, the GE, and the GT. All are 64-bit, except for the GT which is 128, and the memory bandwidth on the LE is 5.2GB/s, while the GT's is 10.7GB/s. Hooray.

Timeline

While I understand that time is in fact made of circles, and that's why clocks are round, I was wondering if there is some sort of time line or projected completion date for the rest of mainland Morrowind.

I'm just about to buy a new computer, and I'm confused about something. It has an Intel® Core™2 Duo processor, 2 GB RAM, and an NVIDIA GeForce 7300 LE. My question pertains to the "LE" on the video card. I've seen 7300 GE's before, but I've never seen an LE. Does that mean anythin...

Of course, not even the Spartans could stand up to the ferocity of French taunting. "I fart in you general direction, sons of a window dresser, and I call your door-opening request a 'silly thing', you tiny-brained wiper of other people's bottoms. Your mother was a hamster, and your father smel...

Absolutley not. "Anybody" wielding a halberd or poleaxe can be a much greater danger to himself and his allies if he is not trained, and the same can be said of any weapon. The Spartans were the most feared military of their time because they were trained almost from birth to be the ultima...

Yes, Tyrion, I mean hoplites. And my grammar was structured in such manner on purpose. To suggest short, over-dramatized phrasing. Like William Shatner. And, you are wrong on several points. Be sure to check your grammar, spelling, and definitions. The xiphos is in fact a short, gladius-like sword a...

Spartan Armor

I'm trying to find a mod for Spartan armor and weapons for morrowind. Not Halo SPARTANs. Spartans from Lacedaemon. The deadliest soldiers in the history of the world. The ones who train every day of their lives from the 12th birthday until they are allowed to retire at age 60. The ones who carry a b...

Nope, no Oblivion yet, but not for lack of trying. It just irked me that there was time sensitivity in DOS Arena but not in Morrowind. Just venting, y'know.

If I could give you some constructive criticism: pay attention to the voice you use when you write. Make sure you're using the same words/phrases/sentence structure that the residents of Morrowind would be using. Also, keep the voice consistent. At one point, you're a little more formal: Two guards ...

It would be snazzy, though, if it could be tweaked to maybe match the tone/sound of a recorded voice, and add the player's name onto a statement. Of course, the player would probably have to specify how the name is pronounced at the beginining, when the computer butchers it several times, asks if th...

Time Sensitivity

Just a thought: One of the things that bugs me severley about Morrowind is the lack of any time-context usage. In Arena, shops closed and people left the streets after dark. In Morrowind, nothings changes for the entire 24-hour clock cycle. If Marsus Tillius was standing out in the middle of the Mol...

Writing

I am interested in writing for this mod, however I'm not exactly sure what topics/fields to write on. If someone could throw a few kernels at me, I would appreciate it. My TES experience is mainly in Arena and Morrowind, so topics covering those areas would be better. Thanks for any help.

Help me. Please?

What do I do with the ESM's on the download page? Do these do anything for non-modder types? ...help? Maybe? And since I'm not too bright, where do I post my desire to help and my qualifications?
