Different strokes are for different folks, really. I find it juvienille to argue about what is and isn't part of a genre. Dani of Cradle of Filth replied when asked if he would considered his music "black metal": 2. Would you still consider yourselves a black metal band? Yes and no. Doesn'...

AFI isn't that bad, but I don't pretend that they're punk. As to metal, try Nightwish, Blind Guardian, or Iced Earth, and come back when you have :) Heard their stuff. Hate it. And let's face it, the lead singer of AFI is a drag queen who sounds like a 12 year old. If you went back to the 80's, jus...

I'm of the opinion that all modern rock sucks. Look at modern punk. You've got bands like AFI, My Chemical Romance, and Fallout Boy. That's the popular punk, which is emo bullshit. Now some people will say that the good stuff is never on the radio, and that the best punk was always underground. Cra...

You could improve it greatly by using stock of actual metal sheets as the base for your texture. I believe you can find some at sxc.hu.

A very off-colour joke, at that ;) It's getting to the point where you really shouldn't need as much storage as we have available. Personally, it's the same as 3D, I find. We can now render things with polys into the tens of millions (or hundreds of thousands in games) - but do we really need that m...

Just out of curiosity, how do we determine what sounds like Dunmer and what doesn't? Not every scot has the outrageous stereotypical accent you know. Actually, one's accent has more to do with the geographical location where one was raised more than race.

It's not a farfetched comparison then, since NPCs and many if not all monsters in Daggerfall were done this way.

Diablo's world, however is not pure 3D as Daggerfall's was.

Daggerfall was 3D. With sprites. [Edit: And I would hardly call Daggerfall's art polished (I have seen the screens). Though, there is a huge technology gap between the two.] The direct comparison was to the pixel art in the character inventory screen to the 3D representation of the character in Mor...

There were, in fact, 112 books in Daggerfall, and a handful of special cases which were generated by the game and not BOKxxxxx.txt files (which are more or less plaintext, so you can leaf through all the books in the game with Notepad if you feel so inclined).
