Im with sload on this one: Morrowind MT: Male Head/Female God Oblivion DB: Female Head/Ambiguous but suggested Male God There isn't really a pattern alongside 'no god' if we make it male or female. I think female is better really. Better yet we should make it clear there is a male heir, possibly by ...
Typo on Interviewed Also most of the videos don't show our work, they show Beth's work. There are a couple of nice shots of Firewatch, but most of the pictures didn't show anything that I wouldn't be thinking "hey...isn't that just Vos? Or Ebonheart?" We have created many more unique piece...
By giving them unique titles you imply they are different stories, which they really are not. There is a difference between a book released in chapters, such as how Charles Dickens did it, which is a good way, and a series where each chapter says absolutely nothing. Even changing the titles would be...
Well flick back a few pages and you will see that they are a splinter group that actually worshiped Boethiah.
Though that is really old. Thing is, I don't think the Yoku gods are 'dishonourable' enough to make sense as patrons of assassins. Perhaps a sort of yoku-ed up daedra.
Might I suggest a slightly more dramatic title than Dinner? It isn't exactly a Banquet but perhaps...Rendezvous? Dinner just sounds too drab, like Cyrus the Restless and the Case of the Mismatched Socks.
One style point: you might want to mix it up a bit with your synonyms for Sabre (british spelling used by me, but Saber used in game I believe...might be worth checking that though). You said Saber at least a dozen times, sword about three times and blade once or twice. It's okay but there are some ...
The first problems is seams, I made only a quarter of the bridge and duplicated that quarter four times and put the bridge together. I did this to make the bridge symmetrical, but now you can some seams between the different parts when moving the camera in Max. Will this lead to problems or uglines...
Out of curiosity, if the necromancers in Oblivion were in fact a mere shock force, why would Mannimarco come in person? Well I always was of the opinion that THAT Mannimarco was an imposter, but thats not the party line. Essentially they were going for a quick invasion, recruiting, training and res...
Who would the Rourken be fighting in Hammerfell? Nobody. I meant on an aesthetic level. Keep up.
]Isn't Fang Lair just built over the crater where Volendrung fell?
There is no spot on identification of the mythical impact site (bear in mind it is a myth...) bu...
Bonelords and Bonewalkers are not summoned by necromancy. They guard ancestral tombs and holy sites. Nerevar Indoril was summoned as a bonelord or bonewalker I forget. The Dunmer are quite firm in their separating Temple-related conjurations from necromantic ones. The conjuration aspect is tricky. ...
ummm why would they put an airship in a mine? or in any underground passage for that matter? wouldnt it be stored in a near-surface-level structure a la the observatories from morrowind? Yes I was thinking that even when I posted it... The factory for the airships could be anywhere, and if we were ...
The mummy is in Daggerfall, and the Book 'Preparation of the Corpse'. It was absent from Morrowind probably because of their own native form of Necromancy (extensive exotic manipulation of corpses, no bothering with paltry Zombies). If we were to pretend that Oblivion was made by people who cared ab...
Thanks TF, I appreciate the sentiment. Harke, you are welcome to provide constructive input, but if the topic is not to your liking then please do feel free to move along. Unless you were not aware, I provide you this courtesy with most of the books you write. I am not saying this to be impolite, bu...
Harke, this is for the basis of some books I am preparing, and I want the lore agreed on before I proceed. If you disagree with any of the points then please put a constructive post down.
Well borders do shift, and it is entirely plausible that in the 1300 years since the events of 2920 the border has been moved or the fortress altered, especially considering the 'new management'. I for one could envisage an Imperial fort on top of an old Dunmeri Stronghold, with walls below bricked ...
This is a general dump on my musings about the topic of Necromancy. On Souls, Bodies and Receptacles The Natural State of Affairs Each person or beast has a spirit or soul. A body is a natural receptacle of a soul. In the higher races (men, mer, beastfolk...) the soul is protected by Arkay, and cann...
Well the place was ultimately 'a mine', but then again this was back when the Dwemer were Tolkein-esque Dwarves, not elves, so they were probably thinking more Mines of Moria than a coalpit. Were I designing it in my mind with less respect for our hardworking modellers I would make one section of th...
According to this map (though I thought the game was randomly generated...): http://www.gamefaqs.com/computer/doswin/file/564545/49040 It looks like part of the rod on a fairly ceremonial looking lava-circled island. I never got there myself but I doubt it is anything decent, knowing the limitations...
That's exactly why they would be GOOD to put there. They want to be secret. Who would expect it. It's a huge place, even if there is lava at the bottom, there is plenty of other space.
First person to suggest anything like a Balrog will get Desu-PM-Spammed into submission. In all seriousness its hard to think of anything decent to put down there. Perhaps a lich enclave who don't like the Barrow...a secretive mage group embroiled in a conspiracy to take over Hammerfell...A Kogotong...
-It is from Gladiator and thus unoriginal
-It does not fit with established lore (namely arenas in previous games)
-It is a dull way to have them killing people, not imaginative enough.
Gladiators were usually slaves or convicts. Put down Spartacus and pick up the game you are trying to talk about. This is Elder Scrolls. Gladiators are paid fighters. The whole game was originally going to be about getting paid to fight. Yeh they might throw them in with some better fighters...but ...
That works on the assumption that Tamriel ever really evolved, and was not simply sculpted by gods. There is a heckuva lot of evidence that the Gods are very very real in Tamriel, By most reckonings the world is only a few thousand years old anyway, so only the very oldest peoples would be anywhere ...
