Kay, If you want me back, this is a good place for me to start for. I loved to work on those meshes and I'd be very happy to make some addons or changes. Do we need any new models or recreations for Necrom?

If yes, please describe it.

My internet provider is a sick bastard

Yeah, it really sucks. And since I only have a PC, and I'm sharing my connection with few other family members it's gonna be hard to change him... What's the problem? TP S.A. blocked irc networks (to be exact serves that host them) and I can't access TR IRC or the gimp page nowadays. Reason? IRC net...

Hint: (keep in mind that I didn't check this mesh, this hint should be taken in general, not specific to this case) If you have an old TR mesh (or any other work from ancient modelling times) and you wonder if you should fix it or remake, stop wondering. The answer is simple, remake it.

I recommend you to show some samples of your work. We use showcases for that. You show what you can -> you get promoted -> you can work on TR stuff.

May I ask what did you do at the radio? I have some radio experience too and I'm curious :)

There is some software for retexturing. Ironically it is called "TR something", so don't bother yourself with fixing it manually in nifskope.

With all respect for Marja's work, you can go a lot further and faster by starting over from scratch - if you want to make a set that is of any practical use and acceptable quality. Think of Necrom. The base for the current city and the interior was completely new. What has stayed the same are the t...

More of a 'burn, scatter the ashes to the four winds, start again' job. The same goes for pretty much all the TR creatures. :P
I would use this rule with pleasure on half of TR's morrowind meshes.

As it was suggested, you should export this scene in pieces, to give the modders a bit more freedom.

BTW, nice use of the cloth modifier. What did you use to model out those bamboo sticks?

Oh. How about scallig them down or something? They are simple retextures of velothi stuff... Making new doorjambs is also possible, but it's far more difficult... Someone would have to take the door we are using (and import it into a modelling program) and make a MW quality doorjamb around it.

If your clothing appears transparent, take the normal map of it and remove (RGBA -> RGB) the alpha channel from it.

Yes. That's why there is no reference in the nif files. It is not needed. There is a simillar situation with nif files with _far added at the end of the filename.

They are "bump" maps, it is only that they are called "normal maps"... That's from where the n is from. The _n is also used by the game engine, because it automatically looks up for every texture if it has an _n equivalent. You can get more info here: http://cs.elderscrolls.com/c...
