here is the last of the progress i've made. sorry it is not much. there are some UV maps applied to the arches and most everything else. i included a alternate file of a larger mesh that may or may not be of use to anything here yet, but it is almost completely UV'd. it started as Sentinel but i hav...

wether you are using the normal maps or greyscale bumpmaps, the values of the maps need to be fluent with the texture. wood needs to look like wood, even when cranked to 999. the txtures all bump like stone. Now: if this just looks bad in 3d, but then it looks right in the OB engine: then i'll shut ...

i'll go through my library when i get some free time and try to find something to blend them all to: wich is actualy the best way (imo) to get a good group of textures. just pick like 8 - 10 tex that are somewhere similar to each other and blend them all with the same texture to get them to look lik...

i like things uniform, but domes are round, not skewed... so i would prefer onion domes or even regular sphere domes, but it you guys want uniformity then i could make the roof more of a heavily chamfered box vs a low poly hemisphere. i am also very against the hues of the textures, since the tiles ...

it took me less than 7 hours to finish OB's main quest. (from the sewer to the Avatar). yes i play alot of rpg's, but it seems all these new games have no challenge.

there are some really cool new clothes and creatures, though. its as if SI is a CS addon rather than an OB expansion.

no, sry i have been unsuccesful in applying collision. well, the problem is: the modular concepts do not match scummy's UC concepts. i would rather use the modular windows and doors, but i'd request to give the doors detail instead of just using mapping. the double door can fit in the lower arch but...

it was courteous of beth to provide us with new models, but its pretty obvious the lack of texturing effort in comparison to OB. i like the new quests and scripts, but some of the clothes and armors look really half assed imo: not trying to rain on SI's parade... I do especialy love those bonewalker...

arena in GM

are we going to incorporate a second arena in hammerfell? (i dont know if its in lore but since HF is a warrior-like culture it seems appropriate)

the OB arena could be re-textured and probably re-scaled fairly simply imo

i'd say that the animation on a dragon is going to be really intense. the wings alone would need atleast 5-6 seperate bone contours and (if included in the concept) the flares and/or spikes would need to be animated individualy, or atleast children of the spine bones. an OB dragon would be really ki...

ok, i spent a couple hours on MChouse2 not sure about the butresses in the back, but it looked bland without anything. i could put two windows back there and make an alternate model. (an extra 168 tris) current polycount: 2986 [img]http://i118.photobucket.com/albums/o97/solobeck/UChouseFRONT2986.jpg...

tooo many bones.... biped animation is ancient gr33k to me. i played with a re-texture and a little mesh editing.
if this works then i'll just edit the OB robes until they fit your concepts, and then i can reassign the pre-made biped animation.

EDIT: stupid dump pic removed
