Forcing does sound better. Would not being active in a department for a fixed amount of time basically mean the same as not being part of the modellers group any more? I think it will help to speed up progress, just let people know if they haven't been active in their claims for like 3 months and if...

Looking good! Great to see a fellow Blender user around. I'd like to see some more from you, can you pick a piece of furniture from the CA section and model it(other stuff that requires some detail will work too)? And you might want to use www.imageshack.us to upload your images and post thumbnails,...

im not sure how exactly to handle it, but i think that we should really expose the player to all the minor gods in raga mythology. maybe have small shrines within the main temple dedicated to some of them? i liked how the morrowind triloths told a small story, we could do a similar factoid (in suit...

Those shading errors can be from the smoothing combined with stretched vertices. It needs some subdividing close to the edge of the bridge. That might be the problem with your dockthingy too. I did some stuff in blender to illustrate what I mean, and how I usually get rid of this: [url=http://img37....

I don't know scripts for the slightest bit but the idea looks awesome to me. The lightrays shining from above is especially epic. I was just wondering if the amulets wouldnt complicate everything a bit too much for the player, yet it seems doable and neat, so I'd call this totally awesome too. Great...

Maybe the amulets could be physically symbolic of an ailment. Like a heart for regenerating physical health, a stomach or liver for poison or disease, a head or brain for damaged intelligence, a hip and thighs for endurance, lower leg and knee for speed, a food for agility, an arm for strength, a h...

First of all, welcome to the forums. You don't need Oblivion to model for TR, but it will make work a lot easier, because you can test your models yourself, and indeed, use the vanilla oblivion meshes as a reference. I'd start with modelling furniture and the like. Armor is a pain in the ass, especi...

Just making clear Im still working on this. Modelled one of Myzel's arches, and working on the exterior archstuff conceptualized by Ada. Edit: Renderthingys Arch, concept by Myzel. Details like the snake in the center part will be done by normalmaps. [url=http://img23.imageshack.us/my.php?image=myze...

Here's a few ideas I drew today. Sorry to say I'm all out of graph paper, so things may not be very symmetrical. Also, I don't have any clue as to what scale we are talking about. How large will this temple be? Some windows. I think it would be nice to have such a window depiction of each god that ...

not too bad. you can cut the polygons off the backside (if they are still there) since that side will never be seen. Thanks for noting, I missed that for some weird reason. Anyway, pillarupdatetaimstuffs. [img]http://img268.i...
lovin' the pillars. whats the polycount on those frame things? they look rather round. You meanthe windowframethingys right? Blender does yet need a good polycountthingy but you can see for yourself at this picstuffs: [img]http:...
Made some modular parts using Lute's yoku CA as a reference. Just a windowthingy and a pillarthingy depicting some yoku snake god thingy. I could just aswell have the lorestuff messed up but it was just a little experiment anyway. [url=http://img269.imageshack.us/my.php?image=modularstuffrender2.jpg...
I guess I don't really care about double posters or tards who respond to double posters in a sudden rush of misunderstood authority,(most often they are new anyway, so meh) yet this thread is in a way a response to people who respond to double posters which is kind of silly as well IMO. Lets just no...
Let this be the start of some sort of return. Ada did all the brainstorming and concepts for this temple, so the idea is fully his. I wanted to make some more modular parts before posting, but since I'd like to give this claim a spark of life I will post a very wip thingy. Adanorcil already showed s...
This claim is going slow but I'm still working on it. I've been having some hard months, or actually, a hard half year. This caused me to be absent at the forums, irc, school, and in a way life itself. I have been trying to get back to a normal life again, yet that took time. The last 6 months I've ...

Sorry for my absence, but I'd like to work on this temple again. I had a look at the mesh yesterday and it seems to me like it just doesn't work. Therefore I propose starting over with a completely new and clear concept. It would be cool if anyone who has an idea could draw a little basic example an...
Nice idea for signage :) I have to say though that the inn sign, the stable sign and the middle sign of the five are absolute shockers. The inn sign is too busy and cluttered, and the stable and middle one are just shitty. Most of the signs also don't fit the space vertically at all. IMO you should...

thanks for the comments, but after more discussion on IRC I modelled this: It's very wip and still needs a lot of work, obviousely. However, I str...
