Necromancer Armor
I haven't seen a topic about this and I think it goes in accordance with the lore but if I'm wrong please hit me in the head .
Necromantic armor could be of iron, ebony or bone, or a mixture of all.
For example, you have a battlemage who becomes a necromancer. In what would you dress him? Robes? Aren't you tired of them?
What do you think?

Umm... sorry...Eraser wrote:When proposing new armor stlyes, please be specific about the armor, its reasoning for existance etc...
Just naming an armor after a class or player style really won't do.
Let's see...
The necromantic armor is unique. It was made of a mixture of iron, ebony and bone by a very powerful Altmer battlemage. It is enhanced so that the wearer would be protected from (or even imune to) poison & paralyzing spells or enchantments.
Armor Type: Heavy or Medium
Armor Rating: 30-60
Region it should be found: Don't know... In a daedric ruin or in a telvanni place
I'll try to draw a sketch but don't count on it... I can't draw good...

1. I think it would be cool if we would mix iron, ebony & bone, it would look nice.Eraser wrote:ah, so you wish it to be an artifact. I don't know about mixing 3 different quality materials, but a uniquely textured bonemold or trollbone cuirass would be fine(as long as its not uber).
Propose a quest for it
2. Ummm... I'm not saying this because I want my idea to be made and be the greatest looking armor so I can counquer the world but I think it should have an unique mesh with all the necromantic accesories: spikes... and stuff .
3. Propose a quest... where?... here?

I'm all for ebony merged with trollbone, but for a Necromancer? and medium or heavy armor (ok, ebony is heavy, just replace with glass)? with all due respect but I'm playing with a necromancer and he uses unarmored and if ever I had to put armor on him it would only be light. So yes for a merged armor between a few (though not to many) materials, but really for necromancers, I don't think so.

I'd much think that a robe would do a lot better then a full armor set. Perhaps a unique helm, of something else unique, but a full heavy or medium armor set is rather not what necromancers do. They aren't the type that go in open battles (unless of course they are there for Mannimarco, God of Worms. Then that would be big. But not a full armor set )
I do think that it should be something of Mannimarco, but maybe not a Necromancer. Mannimarco doesn't really hold the isolated necromancers of Morrowind in high regard. He considers them weak. He usually favors the Sload Necromancers. Unless the necromancers was a great missionary of Mannimarco, I do not think that he or she would earn anything close to this. And even if she or he was, it would not be powerful.
However! It may belong to a lich, which Mannimarco does hold in high regard. Read the letter "arkay the enemy". This will provide you with a chunk of Mannimarco lore. I strongly suggest you base this artifact on mannimarco, it would be very wise.

I think clothing would be more appropriate. If you look at the Necromancer skills, Unarmored is one of the minors, but no other armor skills are included.
If a Necromancer robe or set of gloves are included, they should be very rare. Since Necromancers are hunted down in Morrowind, you won't see too many people strutting around yelling "Oi I'm a necromancer, suck my bone!"
I rather enjoy the idea of gloves. Something that is enchanted to protect the necromancer when he is digging around in the insides of corpses which may or may not be charged with magickal energies.

I won. Majra died and I laughed.
