Were-boars?

Post by Graff »

I heard that the were-boar was a possible transformation in daggerfall. Anyone know if this is true or not? Would we include them in TR?

I'm not sure about Wereboars in Daggerfall.
I do know, however, that:
the wereboar has found both the climates of High Rock and Hammerfell amenable.

I believe we are doing that, and I made a topic about it a bit earlier.
There is a function called 'search', you know.

I can state in full honesty in playing daggerfall i have run into more wereboars then werewolves :) hard to tell the difference they looked alot alike with the primative graphics used in the game but they had tusks :) and if ya looted em they were wereboars.

You couldn't turn into a wereboar, no, but it's true, they were far more common than werewolves in the game.

wereboar

actually you could, wereboars and werewolves had the same stats for the player, but if you looked at the coding, you could only turn into a wereboar except if you were bitten by selective quest specific werewolves. so more exactly :) you couldn't turn into a werewolf in Daggerfall.

Yeah, I had a character become a wereboar (after what I quickly summoned Hircine to get his ring, though, because "feeling the need to hunt the innocent" wasn't that much of my style, and I didn't intended to have to join the Dark Brotherhood), but I don't remember having a werewolf character.
