Two men, one lady.

Post by ChickenHawk »

So, here's the idea;
One guy, deeply in love with a lady, writes a poem about his feeling towards her, and sends it
to the lady as a gift.
other guy, also in love with the same lady hears about it and changes the poem to a letter full of insults towards the lady and a message of the writer not loving her anymore.
and the first guy get's a clue of this, but too late,
so you(the hero:) is assigned to steal the letter from the lady before she reads it and change it to the original one.

if this sounds good i'll post the quests details and so.

As I said over IRC, this is a great simple quest. Port Telvannis would probably be a good location, and it needs more quests.

Telvanni poetry...I don't know this sounds like something for Bal Oyra or FW. Bal Oyra is prefereable since FW is overused. Plus it's small enough to avoid running into conflicts with the Bal Oyra quest.

Not bad. Who would script this though?

Yeah, Bal Oyra is probably good.

It's not at all a complicated script. Infact, there are two ways to go about doing this:

1. Have the note already placed and changed before the player talks to the man who wrote it. Requires no script.
2. Have the player place the note and then remove the fake note. Requires 2 very simple scripts.

There is very little, or possibly even no scripting needed for this (depends on how much you want to happen in the details).

What is needed is a poem and a letter with insults.

You're kidding, right? It's ten times easier to just type it like a regular book, and that's the way they did handwritten notes in Morrowind.

yes, but i thought i'd do a hidden message in the poem,
for all players to find out:D
and the TR team also.

I like this idea. When I see the poem, we can start looking for acceptable NPCs.
"Hail Dexter."

I'm almost done with that insult thing. Still thinking of more insults.

EDIT: I know I should be done by now, but I'm busy with interiors... I'll finish it soon.
