Maurgerithe Concept Art

Post by Anonymous »

actually these are just some main quick sketches of argonian commoners and some ideas for sea monsters of black marsh.

semi-aquatic argonian. tail is broad and very flat. lives only at the coast and in some cases in the rivers inside the jungle.

Jungle tribe argonian. more compact and has smaller horns for easy movement through the jungle and swamps.

ashland-ish argonian. crappy marker sketch.

swamp monster.

Kahjiit warchief

Post by Anonymous »

i did this a long time ago, since i love both the beast races so much. Big lion'ish Kahjiit warchief, or tribe leader of the desert/savanna of Elseweyr.

Wow, nice drawing.
If you look at the concept art section of our main page, you will see our current sketches for the Khajiit forms. While the big lion-esque Khajiit is really cool looking, I don't think that it is supported in lore. However, the Khajiit spiritual leader, the Mane, is sort of like an old, wise lion.

That would be a very good design for one of the larger khajiit breeds, very much lore ok.

Now those are really nice. Want to try a different sub-species? Check the following thread for the ideas of the different Argonian sub-species.

Wow, these are amazing. You are a great artist if these are "quick"

And that Argonian woman looks like she's about to lay her egg any day now.

Since we seem to be doing creatures, here is my concept of the Argonian Feathered Serpent. It's supported by Lore.

it's so awesome to seemore argonian concepts popping up everywhere, i was oping for more posts by starting this thread.

I really like your argonian Silverwood, it reminds me of a velociraptor. like a really slim and quick race.

and i love that winged serpent, it would be so much nicer to see that than those goddamned Cliffracers. do you have any like....dimensions for it? like size and lengt and where it lives? i would love to see that.

Maurgerithe, you really have some skills in drawing anatomy. Great concepts, hopefully some of them will ever be used. Even if not, they look brilliant.

Maybe Maurg could draw things for those screens like Stalker had a while ago..the wallpaper ones that look like loading screens? I don't remember their names.

Well, the Argonian Winged Serpent is big enough to bite someone's leg off, so I'd say about 10 feet in length. They can be found in Northeastern Argonia and in the Argon Jungle.

Ok, so it's not an argonian but i wanted to try and create a hist tree the way i've pictured it. may not be a very good wacom painting but i gave i a shot.

Once again, it's beautiful. I personally don't think it fits a hist tree, though, because it looks so dead. The dead hist trees would be destroyed, much more stumpish or hit-by-lightning looking. The living Hist tries would be lush and beautiful.

Also, the marsh background would be very lush, considering that this tree produces life.

to me, the tree needs to look more out reaching then what it is. like almost a small forest of its own. you a very very very very very very detailed artist by the way. great work.
Hold on sec, my keyboard is sliding off the desk, i gotta catch it b4 it jnkgdnldnl

I love the drawing even if it doesnt fit the Hist.

I always see the hist as maybe more like this

Except with more jungle-esque leaves

Argonian sex.

Did I read somewhere that Argonians had a male or female 'phase'? Does this mean they go through both?

So any Argonian young (hatchlings) would be one 'genderless' sex? Until they went through the first 'change'? Do I understand this correctly?

On pregnant Argonians, I think multiple offspring, as per most reptiles. I think they should also be very chameleon-like in appearance. Lying in the bottom of streams, hiding.

Wow. I think this is easilt your best yet, and I deffinatly agree with Omicron, these (if not used in the game) would look great in the loading screens, to excite the player a little bit.

What I love about your tree is that it looks dead, but more lively than any other tree I've seen. Yet the backround doesn't match it though. It would be cool to see a forest, and out of the middle of it you see this massive tree over shadowing the rest.

(that would be a nice Marsh screenshot)

Yes I think that tree would proabably fit if you just put it in a jungle setting.
