sit down and shut up

Post by Devil's Right Hand »

I notice alot of npc's just stand and walk around Well...all Npc's just stand or walk around . And Would'nt it be nice to have a script for people to sit down to make World More Realistic. Say A Guy Is walking around and Walks beside a Bench He could sit down or not

Its just a Idea

I have actually thought about this a lot. there is at least one mod out that adds sitting npc's, but in my oppinion it was poorly done. It uses a clothing mesh to make it look like the npc's are sitting. the mesh is not that good, the texures are terrible and you can see a second pair of feet on the ground. I don't know if it is possible to do through animation or not, but either way I don't think it's right for TR.

This is not possible to do through normal animation. It's impossible to add new animation to the player in that way, it could probably be done in a very complicated way but either way it won't be a part of TR. We'll just have to accept the fact that Tamrielic citizens haven't invented sitting down yet.

Neither have they invented a method of sticking floors down. Due to the weight of a normal table it can push the stones down, causing them to rise up around the table. Thus the clever Tamriellans have devised a wooden object which usually has four legs and fits neatly under a table to hold down these stones. Nifty, eh?
