LOL! Hey, a SILGRAD admin posted on this! I hope you don't take too much offense to the crack I made on your project eariler in this thread. It is a simple difference between the projects and I meant nothing harsh by it, lol!
Trudging through the relentless Skyrim snowstorms, the lone Paladin looks on in sorrow as the land of Tamriel evolves without him; his mind occupied with other matters.
Im all for new heads, you see the "clone problem" out there is because everyone wants to make thier own headspack, thus every separate "NPC replacer" looks alike.
If you were to pic and choose from EVERY headspack out there, you would have cured the clone disease!
now, as for inconcistency, simply recommend a bolt-on headspack that covers the heads on Vvardenfell.
leave it up to the player.
Your options are:
1:Make it ugly and cloned by using the bethesda heads
2: make it pretty but supercloned by using a generic NPCreplacer (which just replaces the original heads, globaly)
3: make it half ugly but unclony by makeing your own faces off the bloodmoon ones and kill yourself working.
4: see above! (my suggestion that is) risk slight but fixable inconsitency, save alot work and get a Higher quality product

A bolt on should never be required to retain the consistent feel of the game. They should be treated as regular mods which will impact BOTH the Vvardenfell area and the mainland and are therefore different from other mods (since they would require TR esm to work). For all intents and purposes, Tamriel Rebuilt should be treated as an expansion pack to TES3 and built in the same manner Bethesda would have, and bolt-ons should be treated as mods which require this expansion pack.

Hehe, yes I do hang around here a bit now and then. I rather like the style of this forum, it's retro and original and echoes history.Lord_Gallant wrote:LOL! Hey, a SILGRAD admin posted on this! Nah, don't worry about it, I don't take offense easily. On the contrary I can agree with you that there's been some questionable things added to ST in the past, though I like most of them. Balthazaar's farm tools are used a lot over at us for instance, and I feel they add variety and originality while not breaking the feel of the game - as long as they are confined to Imperial settlements. But yeah, the community does produce a lot of *cough* crap right now as well, but there's some really talented people too like Quarl and UQForgotten who create really great faces.
im going to switch stance and go with Lord_Gallant, you know why?
cos if we don't change anything like heads, a player could decide himself if he wants to have mangledpigsnouts or supersexybeauties and that is by far better than having all the faces on Vvardenfell butt ugly and the rest pretty.
But this should indeed be worked on only: LATER cmon get the quests n npcs done first

This is true... What about this: The people of Vardenfell look uglier than everyone on the Mainland because there's a GIANT ASH-SPEWING VOLCANO in the middle of the island! Blight diseases like corprus abound in Morrowind, is it any wonder the faces look like finger-painted rockmelons?Ludovic wrote:If you look at the heads Bethsoft added for Bloodmoon, you can see that they are way better than the original MW ones.
There's no point in doing TR if it's going to be crappy.
..
Morrowind is still one of the most beautiful games I have ever seen, let down ONLY by the crappy models! Bloodmoon gave me a wonderful surprise with their nordic heads... I think, while we're pushing the envelope, we may as well go for gold. In for a penny, in for a pound, as they say. And I agree.
I'm sure there are plenty of people here who are more enthused by retexturing faces (and thus potentially more productive). Why have players on the bench who are more than capable of swinging a bat? Makes no sense to me. If there are people here who would like to do it, and they're not going to do anything else with the same gusto, let them at it!
That's my 2 cents. But hey, I'm a n00b

i was thinking you dont really see the most beautiful people coming from a small out-of-the-way island in RL because they have alimited gene pool but some place say amerika theres lots more people so theres a bigger gene pool so its more common to see beutiful people. we could just use this excuse for the main land.
BUT! this is no reason to make heads like, supermodels, santaclouse, the easterbunny, robots, aleins, etc..

Damn, that's JUST what an American would say!
But, I guess it's kinda true, except that cuban chicks are WAY HOTTER per capita than your average McDonalds-eating-lard-arse American.
No offence to overweight people :s

Yeah America has a huge gene pool, so they have no excuse for being stupid and ugly
Its best to stick to very ordinary looking people. That way you dont get a bunch standing out which would be annoying. They all sorta blend in the mind...Imperial...Bosmer...etc
However for certain NPCs unique heads are great, and so half a dozen of these wouldnt hurt...really main characters like Dukes etc.
