You claimed 8 cells. It just so happened that a big chunk of those 8 cells have a finished product in there. You're supposed to work on all areas of those 8 cells, except for the city of Port Telvannis. So, detail everything that isn't Port Telvannis in those 8 cells.

Alrighty, Vegor just alerted me to a pretty big problem.
The way detailing is being handled now will cause enormous problems with duplicate references. The landscape and shading info will be saved, but there will be duplicates of all objects.
However, he also told me how I can fix it. From now on, all detailers need to do the following:
First, all cells that are within your claim need to be named. What I suggest is to name them TR_(CellNumber). This will cause the cells to show up in TESAME, and make cleaning possible.
Second, vertex shading needs to be edited. This is to ensure that all landscape data gets saved. The best way to do this would be to decrease your brush size to 1, and select a neutral gray color. Hit just one spot that would normally be covered by an object, such as a house or rock or plant. You shouldn't be able to see it, but the editor will recognize that the landscape was changed, and will save the information.
Third, all objects in your detailing cells need to be moved. This may seem crazy at first, but let me explain myself. Any objects that are not changed in any way will not be saved in the esp. Therefore, what all detailers need to do is move every object in their claims, the hit Undo to put them all back. While this won't change anything on the surface, the editor will still recognize all objects in the cell as being changed, and they will be saved.
The best way to do this is on a cell-by-cell basis. Go to the object window in your current cell, click on the first object, then hold down shift and click the last object. This should highlight every object in your cell. Move the objects a little, then hit Undo. Repeat this proscess for all other cells.
Now, I know I said this already, but I also need for everyone to clean the shit out of their claims with TESAME. If you don't, I can still do it myself, but it would save me a lot of time if you did it.

Even if the cells are not named it is possible to get their region (and maybe coordinates, can't recall right now) in TESAME by double clicking on the entry. Since not all cells are being detailed this will still need to be used to clean out map 1 and decide what cells to remove (an easy indicator is the number of references, many of the dirty cells only contain 1 or 2 references, this is also visible if you double click a cell entry).

It's a good start, but keep going. I would say that you had added half the amount of detailing that is needed. At this point, I would focus on adding small stuff, like grasses, small rocks, kollops, container flora, and the like. You have done a fine job with the rocks and large statics, now scale it down to finish the job.

Yay, Vegor claimed exactly the area I need. I'm going to kiss up to you so that you finish it soon.Vegor wrote:I'll help out with this. I'll take the 10 cells from (19,17) through to (20,13). Check the picture for the ones I'm claiming.

WIP file. Nothing is finished actually. Just done a small detailing here and there, added trees near library to for some sort of a valley. Added junk around the trader.

Grrr. I seem to be in a perpetual state of seeming to have time, and then finding out I don't have it. And with college starting once again, I'm apt to havee even less. So, I'm going to have to drop this, as I simply am not getting much of anythign done here. The stuff I have managed to do so far is too trivial to bother uploading. I'm sorry I haven't been able to do more. If I happen to have actual spare time in the future, I'll help out with the detailing then, but right now things just aren't working out.

The old OoT file is to be used in the creation of Map 2-3 interiors only, not exteriors. You should be using the new OoT for your exterior. If you need help removing the old OoT from your file, let me know, and I will see what I can do for you.

Oh, and a new instruction for all detailers.
Use TESAME to delete all cells except your own. We are building a new master file differently than before, and so we need stand-alone claims. This will not be as difficult as it seems if you rename your own cells before deleting the others. If you need help, as always, PM me.

Swiftoak, I'll make it clear: Old OoT is only to be used for Interiors on Map 3 because some were made using Old OoT. And your age is no excuse, I'm only 14. Massey and Haplo and Jale are all 15 or 16, I believe. It's really not hard. And if it says "Maps 2-3" it means "Map 2, 3, and every map inbetween" Map 1 is not inbetween Maps 2 and 3.

OK, I can do some detailing. Getting a bit sick of interiors . I understand the areas in blue need to be done. So I will take -
34, 18 down to 34, 16;
35, 18 down to 35, 15;
36, 21 down to 36, 14.
So the three western most columns of the major Telvanni island.
I'll get cracking on this, and claim more if I finish in a reasonable timeframe.
