Good to hear you're back, Arth. Can someone give me something big to detail already? I don't know how this works...

The entire 1-6??? That's 40 cells, not an easy undertaking.
Don't feel pressured into claiming a mammoth like that. If you really think you are up to it and want to grab it, then your balls are bigger than mine, and I salute you.

Well I've put my other claims on hold so I can do this. And I think that not all of it will need detailing. I can always pass on the WIP if it gets too much, right?

Sure you can. And Vegor has claimed the worst of 1-6, so I guess the rest of it is yours. Claim map will be updated in a few minutes, after I include Vernon's new claim.

Vern just be sure to cut the needed cells from Map 1 first. That way you won't have such bizzare stuff as I did.

Well, seeing as Stalker has found it necessary to post about this in the News forum, it must be important. I'll gladly help, though I'm somewhat confused about the claims. Where are they?

Anyways, I would be okay detailing anything, I think, so whatever needs to be done, give it to me (just not too big, okay?)

Ah, didn't see it. Alright then, I'd like to claim the 4x3 area West of Port Telvannis, (37, 16) to (40, 14) I believe.

Ok, don't forget to put ex_t_menhirs on in the water and on the hills. Don't touch the city itself, It needs no detailing. Poha, if you need help, we can collabrate, since our claims are right beside each other. (im doing the city and the bay east of the your claim) I wont be on much though probably only 1ce or twice a week., first year high school gonna kill me.

Put ? You said put more menhirs ? Map 1 has much MORE menhirs that we need. It looks like the only type of rock used on Map 1 was menhirs. For the god's sake reduce the amount of them. Thank you.

The problem with the menhirs on Map 1 is that they are not placed with any imagination. I am putting more of them in my claim, but combining them with coastal rocks to create interesting rock formations. There are indeed too many of them, but the way I see it, they are the type of rocks that are abundant in this region of Morrowind. A bit of an eyesore, but not altogether inappropriate. Just be creative with the way you place them.

I've actually walked through this area (parts of Map 1) over the summer, and couldn't beleive that it was in TR, as I recall. As I walked through cell after cell of nothing but the same, randomly placed menhirs, I started to wonder if I was going in circles.

Also, why are shelf fungus growing on those rocks? I can't recall ever seeing this in the original Morrowind, and if it it did happen, it couldn't have happen with so constantly. I don't think it looks good, and, mushrooms being the detritus feeders that they are, what are they eating? Surely the rock itself isn't decomposing?

[Edit]Might I suggest, for organization sake, that all the instructions for detailing, and the claims map, be moved to your first post, Dexter?[/Edit]

Menhirs are the most placed static in the original game. However, this is because they were used in the waters and seas. I don't doubt that some where used on land, but try to confine them to the coasts and seas I think.

Yep, I'd say Sload is right on that one. Almost all of the menhirs that I've seen (while viewing original cells) are in the water, and only a slight few inland (and those were in low lying places).

There's way too many inland on this map, methinks.

Heheh, surely editing the first post in the thread with the map would be a good idea so we dont have to go to the last page to be directed to halfway down the first :P

Aaanyway, I shall claim 1-2, because it was my claim in the first place and someone rather messed it up in the Map1 Merge MKII (tm) and it looks nothing like it did originally.

Inferno, currently Zalzidrax has 1-2, but he has not updated progress since he claimed it. I will PM him now asking if he has worked on it, and if he has not, if he would mind giving the claim up to you.

Inferno, I already did some stuff with 1-2, mainly add a bit of life to it's surroundings. I'll post the claim laterion, need to put some clutter into the city. I only deleted a few rocks, so nothing serious happened as of yet.

I'll post a few screenies, so you then can decide to keep or scrap it. Basically, I tried something novel with telvanni exterior tiles. I like how it turned out, but it's up to others to decide ultimatly to keep or scrap it.

Oooh... pretty Hermit... err... that is, you're not pretty, but the pic is.

I personally still don't like the use of shelf fungus on rocks, even if you used it much less. That's my opinion, though.

Thanks. :)

Well, I'm not too satisfied with that either, might give it a little stemlike thing and roots sticking out of it.

I'd like to use these telvanni tile pieces occasionally to create wild mushroom "houses". The Telvanni gotta get their seedlings from somewhere, and their homeland seems like an obvious choice to me.

The Telvanni Islands, outlined in blue, in the upper right of the map are what need detailing. You can have any cells that are not outlined in red.

Ah, that sounds like a great idea, Hermie (I can call you Hermie, right? :D ).

Do you mean like, oh, say... scaled down telvanni manors and houses, used like flora?

Pretty much. I'd not use the houses and stuff that looks clearly built, but the roots and shelf fungus and things.

Thanks Dex, I'll take the islands. That's more logical for locating those tree-shrooms anyway. :)

Those screens were from BO... I dont mind you putting stuff there, but do remember that it is essentially TWO cities on top of one another, so wont look correct in the editor. And do remember this when making anything around it. The quest will have three endings, one leaving the town imperial, one turning a load of buildings and the keep to telvani, adding a tower and roots, and the other wil just involve the tower and some roots, but no building replacements.

And Ill have 1-23, since it was where I began the first map 1 merge over a year ago!

Dude, I experimented there, that's all. Besides, I put them in a place where no new building was planned (I checked that actually).

And I'm not gonna submit that anyway as it's not my claim. Calm down.

Okay, my claim: I'd like to have 37/18 through 40/17 and 39/18 through 40/19.

Progress: Cell 37/18: done (I added container flora and a small Feral Telvanni Mushroom. The shroom will stretch into cells 37/17 and 38/18.

37/17: halfway done, I added a cave entrance (small cave). I asked Xui'al to make a small interior for it, so that's covered.

More cells completed, or at least close to completition.

Cell 38/18: Just added AC flora and rocks, as well as mushrooms. I also took the liberty of mixing AC and Menhir rocks. Looks much more organic that way. Furthermore, I put plants an things into the rock fields along the shoreline, and deleted some rocks to looosen things a bit up.

Cell 37/17 now has another cave and will get it's own wild giant shroom. It's semi-done as I have to decide what to put besides the giant shroom. Maybe scaled Emperpr Parasols or something. I dunno, but it's supposed to be mushroomy.

You used the wrong door for that, and make sure it's a mine not a cave, because that's what the doorframe is. An eggmine, most probably.

More of an update: 37/17 is complete. I also exchanged both doors and cave entrances for the proper AC_cave_entrance mesh. Thanks Sload.

I also added Black Roses all over the place. This plant needs spread desperatly. I will refrain from MH Flora, as this is more a Deshaan Plains/Indoril section kinda thing.

38/17 is done now, too. I put a little shack in there, besides the way. What'll it be? Maybe a little hostel? Maybe a apothecary who chose solitude over the Telvanni islands? I don't quite know. I'm sure Xui'al will find something for it. It's another small flavour interior.

Oh, and I have a question: am I allowed to make a semi-big Velothi or Daedric/Dwemer ruin every once ina while? This place is EMPTY, and I need to add some sights and points of interest, and it ca't all be caves.
