New Tamriel Rebuilt Wallpapers

I am in the process of creating some new ones. Here is the first, tell me what you think so I can adjust the rest. It is 1024x768 so it will fit most peoples desktops.

EDIT: Don't download this one!!! There is a proper version (with some others) in a .rar below!

Very nice, however, don't neglect the use of the TR logo, it always does nicely in the bottom right corner, you know:

However, just the red triangle and the 'Elder Scrolls III, Tamriel Rebuilt' should go on there. The tan/brown background should be cut out with photoshop or something.

Edit - Also, don't neglect posting them in two sizes, 1024x748 & 800x600, many desktops(like school, public, and library) have smaller monitors set at 800x600.

Ok, here they are. There are wallpapers from Gah Ouadarhun (modified from the one above), Port Telvannis and Sailen Vulgate. I am not sure what to do with the logo though, as where it is looks stupid with the Windows toolbar, and any higher looks really, really stupid. Anyway, comments are appreciated, as I will likely be adding more soon. Thanks for the logo link Haplo.
The .rar is a little large, but there are 6 high quality .jpgs in there. Bear with me.

Anytime. The location of the logo on your screens is good, but I personally feel it looks better when they're off the side a little bit.

Also, filetypes - I learned a few days ago that .BMP or .PNG files are the best type/quality for TR, so if you have Photoshop, or any other program that allows you to save as those two, then that'd be good. If you save as a PNG file, don't interlace it.

BTW what interlacing does if no one knows - when a screenshot is partially loaded, it will double back and sharpen the blurred unfinished parts of the screenshot it's already loaded, while it's still loading the other half of the screenshot. The Mainland MW map has this, I believe.

I do have Photoshop, but I put the images in .jpg for the file size consideration. Should I convert them to .bmp or .png, regardless of size?

Here is a new one of Darconis. It is in .png, and doesn't seem as sharp as the others, likely due to an earlier encounter with interlacing. I will create a proper version later, but lets see first what people think of the logo's location. I moved it to the left and up a little.

Thank you very much. Perhaps once the set is done and converted we could convince someone to add them to the download page?

To anyone who has pictures that would make good wallpapers, my MSN is camelotages@hotmail.com. Just add me and if I like them I will make them, as getting all of the images is tiresome, or in the case of map compatibility, very, very slow.

EDIT: I was going to wait until I had a few, but I like this new one too much to keep it to myself.

Edit: Nice Wallpaper by the way. Oh and Ihad to copy the logo thats why it looks weirld I couldn't find one by itself, and thanks for the comments they help in getting better results by listening to what People say about them!!

And I believe that Vernon is redoing Blacklight. Even without the crystal, it has a unique edge to it. I think we should keep it under the premise "This is like Vvardenfell, but it isn't. This is Morrowind."

I wanted to complete my creature splash screen collection, as I knew there weren't all included. So I found the Dreugh in the wallpapers from the official Elder Scrolls site.

I quickly converted it, thanks to the GIMP, in another splash screen, resizing the image in the same format as the others splash screens (1024Ãƒâ€”1024, 72 dpi, TGA).

Then I went on and converted all other Morrowind wallpapers into splash screens.

Then I remembered that the "landscape" wallpapers that I had turned into splash screens were very similar to those made for TR in this thread, so I went on and converted all the wallpapers from this thread into splash screens!

And here I upload them for all to see. I would have included all the "new" splash screens, but the archive would then be 30+ megs, 8+ megs is large enough IMHO. Just ask me if you want them, otherwise I won't encumber the server.

Is the Tel Muthada pic using OoT objects that I've not seen before, or did you use an .esp which retextured the Telvanni Shrooms, or is that just super good crazy lighting?

They are all retextured. I am using Qarls. I think that it looks so much better, it is almost a necessity. They are so much higher quality textures then the original game that it looks like a whole new engine. Give it a try.

Well, what I was trying to point out is, that if you want them to be included with the release, you probably shouldn't use outside plugins for pics (unless TR has permission to use them and is actually using them) otherwise, someone might think that WE did the retexture.

Um, hope you don't mind, Mass, but I just had to mess with this pic

EDIT: Here's the new one with the resized logo and title.
Also, I tinkered with the logo a little to make it a bit more wallpaper friendly. Have at it.
