Hmmm ... ask sniper what his wall castle's contents summed up to.

I trust you already have all OoT packages installed?

Granted. Happy modding, Jale! :)

I have four questions.

1. Am I making both towers
2. Am I sticking to Sniper's general layout?
3. Does that gate support an interior Bridge?
4. Am I supposed to add a commander's quarters for the fort like in Sinper's? He had it on the top floor which works well...I could have the commander in the east tower and the Immigration office in the west.

My Current Plan is:

East Tower
1. Kitchens, Mess Room
2. Entrance, Lockbox room (ie personal effects of Guards)
3. Beds for 6 men
4. Bridge, Common Room (ie comfortable chairs, selection of books where guards can relax after duties)
5. Beds for 6 men
6. Commander's Quarters

West Tower
1. Smithy, armory
2. Entrance, Infirmary
3. Beds for 6 men
4. Bridge, Vault
5. Beds for 6 men
6. Immigration Offices

Basement links to both lower floors

Facilities in the barracks rooms simply include a basket or two of food, a few potions and a bucket/barrel of water.

I am also dividing it in the following manner:
Basement

East Tower Floors 1&2
East Tower Floors 5&6

Floors 3&4 Both Towers Linked with Bridge

West Tower Floors 1&2
West Tower Floors 5&6

Sload Lord wrote:I'm not Hermit, but I know some of those answers.

1. Yes
3. Yes, one floor in size

EDIT: It doesn't really need to be 7 cells. You can find a way to make it 5 I'm sure.
In that case I shall have the bridge linking the two middle sections all in one cell. That merges 3 into 1.

I have deviated from Snipers slightly. I am using the same format of the stairs and corridors circling the edges, but I have changed the size. His was 6x6 but I acutally placed some interior bits next to the tower to get check and its actually 5x5. I think it works out better, as in a cross-section 2 of those are stairs/corridors and the other 3 are the meat of the rooms. It makes sense to have corridors around the core of the tower as you dont want siege weapons damaging important areas.

Now with WIP showing the Layout and also a few bits of furniture which I have placed already. Its all sparse and in a preliminary state so dont worry, just lets you know what im up to.

Could I take this one?

I'll use Jale's plan so it shouldn't be too difficult and I want something a bit more challenging than redoran commoner houses (which I have 4 already pending) (and completed). It will be fun and will take me a week or two but I will complete it etc.

Just do the ones you have, and then claim it properly, then I'll think about it.

This is a big interior, and Indoril is a complicated tile set, so I'd like to see your work on a few easier and smaller Redoran things first.
Elder Mod.

For now, I'm sleeping in my lightless city beneath the waves.

But someday ... I will be back.

I'd like to claim this one, I think I could do it well, I'll follow Jales's plan etc but add a few bts and bobs here and there. But nothing to extravagant.

In the lock box room what would be in the chests, and am I not allowed to make new chests?

Provided you don't put uber loot into them, you can make new chests. Uber stuff will make this interior rejected though.

Other than that, yeah, your plan sounds good.

Granted and happy modding, use the OoT packages described below (and not the current ones).
Recommeded OoT packages:
http://tamriel-rebuilt.org/files/oot/TR_EoT_datafiles.rar (7.6 MB)
http://tamriel-rebuilt.org/files/oot/TR_EoT.esm (112.6 KB)

A small element of uberness is a prerequisite, as it is a house vault. Nothing higher than a bit of ebony though.

Obviously you want the house indoril book...I put a copy in the bunk rooms already so look there to find out what it is, I cant remember. You need plenty of Temple books really. One or two of the 36 lessons, House of Troubles, the Pilgrim's Path (though I think there will be a Mainland version of this).

............. hrrmmmm uhhh not trying to be rude or anything but 50% may have been a wee bit generous, at least as I see it. Anyway... question, whats is the towers primary role, just housing guards or more. I could set the basement up as storage, but I was thinking it may be more interesting has holding cells...

Ok so I was thinking for the basement... Three rows of holding cells. Each equiped with two buckets and a bed roll, then below the holding cells perhaps a communal cell cared into the bed rock...

Ok, thus far the basement is done, a barraks, and the commanders room, I've broken the commanders space down into an office, a den or sorts and a bed room...

Two towers and gate - T1

TowerA
1. Kitchens, Mess Room
2. Entrance, Lockbox room (ie personal effects of Guards)
3. Beds for 6 men
4. Bridge, Common Room (ie comfortable chairs, selection of books where guards can relax after duties)
5. Beds for 6 men
6. Commander's Quarters

Tower B
1. Smithy, armory
2. Entrance, Infirmary
3. Beds for 6 men
4. Bridge, Vault
5. Beds for 6 men
6. Immigration Offices

Basement links to both lower floors

seems do able with the WIPs

one question thought....

the gate between the two towers looks like it has enough space for a small and enclosed catwalk...... could that be done?

Yes, you should make sure there's a one-by-three (judging from the pic hall connecting both towers.

Good luck, if you get it (wait for Massalinie to grant it), these towers are huge claims.

You didn't really need to copy the description :P

Granted and happy modding!

This is a big claim, so it should keep you busy for a while :) Glad to have another modder on the Morrowind interior team.

Yes to the catwalk.

Also the description was just Jales ideas that I copied and pasted into the descrip box to give the next modder some inspiration, if you don't want to stick to it completely and want to make some changes then let me know and I'll change the descrip for you.

No NPCs, creatures or scripts.
Set northmarker and name the cell (read the new naming system thread)

Recommeded OoT packages:
http://tamriel-rebuilt.org/files/oot/TR_EoT.esm (113.7 KB)
http://tamriel-rebuilt.org/files/oot/TR_OOT_Main.tar.gz (59.7 MB)
http://tamriel-rebuilt.org/files/oot/TR_OOT_Main.esm (1.7 MB)

Also, you can use the top file if you wish but you don't have to. (given the size of the interior, it may help you out a lot but it's your choice)

After looking over Jale's .esp I have decided to add two more levels to both towers. to make them closer to their Exterior counterparts.

Since these are apparently Ordinator barracks i think I'll add a small tribunal shrine to the top floor of one tower.

I have also decided to move the vault into the basement where it can be better protected

Here is an updated description....

TowerA

1. Entrance, Criminal Processing offices
2. Duty pay Offices
3. Kitchens, Mess Room
4. Catwalk, Common Room/Lounge
5. Beds for 6 men
6. Beds for 6 men
7. Infirmary
8. Commander's Quarters

Tower B
1. Entrance, Immigration Offices
2. Smithy, Armory
3. Kitchens, Mess Room
4. Catwalk, Footlocker room(ie personal effects of Guards)
5. Beds for 6 men
6. Beds for 6 men
7. Infirmary
8. Shrine of the Tribunal

Basement/Vault links to both towers

the catwalk will be a 1X4
because the floorplans are 5X5
