A sad song by Odowacar
I've finished my first song for TR.
This is quite sad song but I think it works alright even in a happy-happy-joy-joy atmosphered tavern too. I'm proud of this song.
Feedback?

Thanks.Dummyplug wrote:Nobou Uematsu is the composer for almost all of the games in the Final Fantasy serie.
The song is simple and melancholic, and sounds very distant. I think this would be perfect background music for exploring an important landmark, like a ruin or a silent/foggy battlefield. Nice job:)
Could someone edit this song for me a bit? As you can hear it sizzles. I have a poor mic.

I tried to take out some of that background noise for you, but it's hard to say if it made much of a difference, it definately fixed some parts, but have a listen for yourself. I can try something else to fix the sound if you still think it's not right.
Great song by the way, vey pretty melody.

Sounds great, dude. I'd recommend it for map 2 music.
However:
-You might want to check your mixing levels, on the louder parts, there's audible pops and cracks of the sort I associate with the overall volume too high.
-It's a little bare compared with morrowind's own music. How about changing the backing piano part to two violins, perhaps adding a woodwind part playing fifths, and some very light percussion.
-It ends very abruptly. If I were you, I'd add a final chord that fades out.

[Maybe Not]Done With TR[Quite Yet]
I can do the final fade out, but I can not add those violins. Indeed violins would be great but I'm not able to do that. Maybe someone who has the Cubase or something like that could. And I can't edit the song anymore to erase cracks and sizzles - I did all I could with my Audacity.Graff wrote:Sounds great, dude. I'd recommend it for map 2 music.

That's very good. It sounds good, overall. However, I'm not really sure how it would fit into a game like TES, which isn't an "emotional experience" like Final Fantasy. But I'm sure it could be used somewhere. *two thumbs up*
BTW, how the heck do you add all those different instruments into the background? Did you record it, then play it again with more instruments thrown into the mix? All that I have is a piano, and I don't know how to mix different sounds or put my work on the computer(in case I wanted to).

This song ain't finished yet. I hope someone with Cubase or other that kinda program could add some violins to the background. It would make the song complete.Hamlet_Shakespeare wrote:That's very good. It sounds good, overall.
