Tamriel Rebuilt Project worlds biggest fan based add-on?
I'm just wondering, if this is the biggest so why wouldn't we try to get on the Guinness world records book?
Just for fun =)

cool
TIMITO!!! Welcome back!
Yeah, I know we're the largest, most ambitious mod out there overall for TES, even if at some point Wizards Islands or some other mod had more members or more content up than we did.

I'm already in there
World's longest Chorus Line.
School...had to learn this song and dance and then do it round the cricket pitch. Theres a photo of it from the air. What was funny was that someone stuck a picture of the Leader of the Conservative party in the middle, so in one of the rooms for a while after you could see the entire school worshipping the giant disembodied head of Ian Duncan Smith.

I suppose it would all depend on what criteria you used to judge the biggest project.
It could be:
1) most members at any one time
2) most people having been members at some point
3) most megs of content created, etc

I don't think most megs of content created is really a critera we can base this on. If you look at some Half-Life 2 mods, they have large file sizes because of new high-res textures and voices/sounds and the sort. In terms of quality though, we may "take the cake," so to say...

I recall TR at one point had over a 1000 "members", i.e. forum registrations, because the downloads were in a section of the forum locked from guests. Nothing strange about that, we do it too and I'd say even a majority of the people behind our current forum registrations just come to sniff our various downloads and are then never heard from again. I personally cleaned 250 unused forum accounts from our old forum.Ludovic wrote:Does anyone know how many people have been members at some point or other, though?
Or for that manner how many people have actually done work for TR?
Anyway, it's like you say - it's hard to find a criteria to measure by.
Hee hee, "member purgings" sounds kinda sinister.

anyhow, i would say that Desert Combat is one of the worlds biggest mods filesize-wayz.
i do however think that we would easily take "Most ambitious mod EVER"

Gentlemen, gentlemen! Let's stick to the thread please. I think the most ambitious TES project was the Middle Earth total conversion mod. I think another very big project is Rome:Total Realism (RTR). They must also have a huge amount of members, they retextured allof the units in the game and added about 25 new ones!
Perhaps not THE MOST, but I think it's safe to consider TR AMONG the most ambitious for TESIII. Filling in and fleshing out the details of 90something% of a continent which will be explored in first-person is something I consider ambitious, anyway. Hell, I applaud your efforts on the Morrowind mainland alone.

That's because TR doesn't throw everything they can, as well as the kitchen sink, into our mod.

well. I haven't really done so much for TR that i'd have enough value on my words but i think we(TR?) will someday be the greatest ever.
and when it comes to morrowind, I think that none (not IRL things) means more than it.
and a little off topic.
people come on and stay with the project, if you don't have time to do everything, do a little less, something that you have the time for.
and I excuse my bad english=).
