Revelation

Post by Saibot »

Some of you may have noticed that I haven't made any kind of contribution to this project lately. I've left stories, art, models, and quests unfinished. Because for some reason it just didn't seem that important.

Today I realised something. I have never actually finished anything that I've started. My entire life consists of have drawn artwork and unfinished literature. So what exactly have I been doing all this time?

The problem is I try to do too much. I never let an new idea slip away. I start a project one day, and the next I start something else. I've decided however that I have to change the way I work. Which means I have to dedicate more time one thing rather than try to spread myself too thin.

So I'm going to focus all of my free time on finishing the things I've started here, and then add to my list on peice at a time. In short... I think It's time I make a little progress.

It is pretty much the same for me too. I try to learn everything, but I have never gotten into the depths of them. Now, I have also started closing my loose ends...

Sounds a lot like me, Saibot. Actually, I somewhat changed in recent years, because when I get a new idea, I write it down, even if it sucks, in a book that I bought for drawing in.

The downside is that I've got a load of ideas just sitting around, waiting to be used, and that just bugs the hell out of me...

People are like that. I personally, get bored when I do something big. Then I have another idea work with it until I get bored and so on. I hope that this little chain reaction does not collapse this project.

I used to be like that. I had 5 interiors, an exterior, and some NPCs all going at once. I also tried modelling and writing, which weren't my thing at all. Then, I found quests. It's really a lot easier to "finish" quests, for me, because you really can't just say "oh, it needs a little more of this." It's clearcut, any errors will become obvious when you play, and scripting is all logic. I love it, and now I don't have as many open projects (though I do have a lot of "I'm going to do this.." projects)

do what you have to, but don't make TR seem like work.
TR's supposed to be fun and a tribute to the greatest game ever.

greatest game ... for now.

I have a hunch. Strange feeling, itch in the spine, that around new year will come somesort of mass, that will bang us all to Oblivion in all means.

hehe... just joking. You need only count all modders around the globe. Most of them will change to Oblivion. Others just can't get enough from their computer for 4. If you've seen trailers (of course you've seen) everything is "count polygons, please" -objects. Not everyone have resources for that kind of blast ;)
Any objections?
