Tavern Ambience

This version is pure sound, contains no Tavern music, I might be doing that at a later date, if it is required...

Nice work, Graff. I like it. We finally have tavern ambience. :o Is it at all possible to get these without the reverb?

Sure thing, some the samples are a little edgy, but I'll do a version with a basic-reverb on the output rather than on the individual channels, though I'll keep the panning.

And here it is...

Stalker says he'd like to hear a failed spellcasting and a drunken mage, anyone else want to hear other things in variations of this?

OK, because the raw Beth samples don't have reverb from what I have heard. Any dsp processing that is done (if any) is realtime, as far as I can tell. So even if you left the reverb off on the main output also, that would work fine. I think they will sound more natural in the engine without. Though I guess testing both will be the only way to tell.

Okay, I'll upload a complete, non-pan, non-reverb version then...

Ok I just listened to it and I really think it will be better without. It will make it consistent with Bethesda samples, anyway. :) Is it a pain to remove the reverb?

From the mixdown itself? No.

If it comes to removing reverb from certain samples within the file, yes, in fact, I'm not sure it can be done.

This is the mixdown without panning or reverb.

Pretty good so far! The length is just right and it keeps a similar level of activity through it.

The only quibbles (if thats a real word) I have with it are that the sounds could us more variations.

For example you could have different races doing burps instead of the same one repeating, different types of bottles being opened and poured(corked, caps etc), maybe a few more captions (perhaps the coming and going of some patrons) and maybe a little more group laughter. Perhaps the captions should be muffled/mumbled/lowered, so the player doesn't immediately think "hold on, there's no nords/bosmer in here!"
