hopefully this clears it up for people if you still don't understand click on the link at the top of the page and read the whole thread. is that ok Odawacar.

Please remember that you may not get a reply for a day or more, it just means people haven't seen it. And it's the middle of the American night, so yeah.

It's ok. I just thought that it would be easier if the whole quest plot would be avaible to be read in one thread - not in two different threads.

Okay, so here is the quest mentioned above (read Odowacar's book for more), summarized into one post:

You meat a tramp in the streets of Firewatch (could be any town) and when you confront him, he begs you for just 50 drakes. In return, he will give you a mysterious peice of parchment that he cannot understand in the least. If you give him the gold, you get this as promised, if you refuse, the next time you enter Firewath, you find him dead, and can take the paper from his body. Either way you get the paper, and on it the are a series of clues, (about nine or ten I imagine) that seem to be leading to something somewhere. (Bard has them listed above.)

More to come.

The quest is based on a book which hasn't been accepted to the Books of Tamriel so no rush.

But i did the sword anyway...

cool sword i really like but could you make it look a bit more imperial. i was more thinking along the lines of an imperail looking sword but with refections of the people he killed. but all the people look sorta daedric, something along those lines. im not really good with any of those graphics programs so i dont know if its possible or not, but if you could that be great.

i'll post back with another riddle later.

i want this to be more of a giant quest rather than a simple one that would take about an hour real time. its going to have to cross provinces (when morrowind is finished) at one point as well because it ends up in hammerfall. i think it would be better suited to 20 to 15 clues for each province. this way by the time i have the morrowind version perfected (i take a long time) morrowind will be finished to so i can move it across to skyrim and so forth.

wait maybe we should get vote on this if we should either wait and put in its right place (hammerfall) or have it avalible to you in the morrowind province. [/quote]

okay next riddle

"the land broken" the smith says
"at velothi's right side" the priest says
"an adamantine crack remains untouched" the miner says

"the land broken" means the broken land
"at velothi's right side" means to the right of the velothi mountains
"an adamantine crack remains untouched" means a adamantine deposit maybe it could be a new mine that has just opened something like that. i had to narrow it down a little because it was "an adamantine crack remains" which would mean seaching for all of the adamantine mines in the area.

what do you think?

Listen, as I've told Odowacar, the chances that TR makes it to Hammerfell are slimmer than Lindsay Lohan after another month of dieting. This does make a very good quest idea though, and I would love to see it done. It could be used for the Morrowind Province as I've already explained.

We should make the quest to be in Morrowind. The player follows the riddles and they lead to a place where someone else has hidden the sword many years ago. Only a suggestion - of course this is your quest Old Ye Bard.

And I made another retexture that could be the sword.

the second retexture is alot better. also i was thinking that we could end it in a interior cell version of hunding bay, but with force fields to stop the player from going any further. this way we can still have the quest end in hunding bay.

what do you think?

Temporarly ending sounds be good.

And then the interior thing.. It's worth trying I guess. But maybe not.

how bout a door to the cavern that only appears when you have the book?

Be better to make it well hidden and then when you are in the cave you have to press a certain hidden switch to find the sword...like 'the roots divulged the iron from water'...ie you activate a root hanging through the cieling and the sword comes out of a small pool of water.

The sword comes out of a small pool of water with sound and lightning effects. Would be awesome.

you only get the book at the end of the quest.

okay i've got a great idea why don't we make the book "I buried my sword at Hunding Bay" a common book.
when you finish the quest you get a second book, but it will be an account of a redgaurd on the other side, he gets knocked uncouncius in the battle and falls over board, when he wakes up, he stands and walks over to the edge of the waves in the disstance he can see his fleets ships are on fire burning in the sunset, he then collapses back to the ground but instead of felling the soft sand under his back a round object is poking into it he then reachs under his back to pull it out. when he touchs the surface of it he feels the cold numbness of metal under his fingers, also stranger still he notices that he can not pull it out from underneth himself so he rools over to sell what it is he rolls over and discovers it is the hilt of a sword he begins to dig it out he finnaly does he can feel an aura pulseing from the metal like it was alive.
few weeks later the imperials had stumbled across a list in one of the redguard bases that had a record of all the people who had fought in the battle he then reallised that it was not safe to stay in hammerfall.
he then decides to travel to a differnt province before he was caught and tried as a war criminal.
when he reached morrowind he managed to stay unseen by the imperials for a long time.
then one day he was caught for trying to steal, he became so scared he ran straight into an old mining cave when he entered he was running so fast that he tripped over a rock, his sword came out, he then landed in a small underground lake as he came up for breath the sword which was still airborn at the time came back to the ground in a sudden movement and sliced his head off. the imperials never found him, they where so worried after about a month when he had not returned to his home in Xtown for his posesions that they assumed he must be dead so they made a small little grave for him just outside Xtown no one new his name so on his grave they just put "the unknown redgaurd".

okay so when you finish the qust you get this book and also a note that says what the mine was called.
this way everyone is happy :D.

by the way Odowacar could you please make a better version of my story i'm not that great at writing them. thanks
