Require help pinpointing all missing textures

I require some help from you people. Can somebody please DL latest OoT and EoT, clean their Icons, Meshes and Textures folders, make a clean install of EoT and OoT, load the up in the editor and than copy your warnings.txt here ? That would help me a lot. Thank you.

If you want to know what models are missing meshes, textures, or icons, that is simple enough, but what do you mean by clean up the files?

I mean deleting\moving to a safe place everything from your Icons, Meshes and Textures dir. Can't do it myself because I will simply get lost in those hundreds of backups of backups I have :)

I didn't see any errors concerning textures. The only one concerning TR I saw was something about a Daedric Trident not being present but being referenced from a Leveled item list:

Unable to locate object 'TR_w_daedra_Trident' in Leveled Item 'TR_random_daedric_weapon'.

Strangely enough I myself do have some missing textures. PoHa try placing venus plant (creatures tab) somewhere and see if you have all textures or not.

I only get partial textures. Here is a pic:

The Sky Render, or something along those lines (TR_cr_dres_bug_tiny) also shows up with out textures at all.

Hmm... no warnings regarding texture errors, and yet they show up white...

[Edit]That is to say, the tiny dres bug shows up white. The plant shows up as was reported right before me. All the other dres bugs show up properly though.

Aside from some minor differences in stats, isn't the tiny and the small dres bug the same?[/Edit]

[Edit2] Further, though I don't know if its an error, the TR sounds for creatures seem to be missing, as I have them in my backup but not under Sounds/TR/cr (which actually no longer exists as a valid path).[/Edit2]

I put them side-by-side in the CS, and they look identical. But I didn't make them, so I don't know.

Since these things didn't show up in warnings.txt, I assume we will have to do this manually. I'll take armor, books, and ingredients, if we have to do it manually.

No problem. I also found some missing icons in books and armor a while back.

Also, what do you want to do about the aquam/aquamarine error, or has that been fixed?

Congratulations stalker you've now run into the problem that screwed me up so much with Oot!

If there are any of the older textures found missing and are needed, I probably have them in my mess of a datafiles folder, just ask and i can post them.

I did. It was ignored, because it was something between the Map1 data files, and OoT. It may not even be an error anymore, so I will check it out. If it is, then I will put it under OoT error reporting. Unless someone beats me too it, I will take a look at weapons later.

Anyway,

Checking is going well.
There is a massive amount of missing icons for Armor, but no missing meshes or textures, as far as I can tell. I assume the icons are missing because they have yet to be made.

Books all seem to be OK. The only error that I found was a missing icon in "The Brown Book of 3E 426."

As far as I can tell, the ingredients are all textured. The following are missing icons:

TR_ingred_amber
TR_ingred_aloe_pulp
TR_ingred_jet
TR_ingred_moonstone
TR_ingred_nightshade
TR_ingred_rock_crystal
TR_ingred_whitepoppypod

I just did a very brief look at Creatures when I was seeing the Dres Bug for PoHa! but they seem to be OK. (or Slappy, as Massey says)

Hehe. I'm just missing some textures from old stuff and meanwhile I decided to know if I'm missing something from anything else. I'm personally aware of 3 missing textures.

You may want to up that number Stalker, as I just checked Clothing and Containers, and the following are untextured:

Alchemy is also clean, but there is only something like a 1/2 dozen objects in there anyway. Will get on to weapons sometime today.

Those didn't have textures all the time I remember them in OoT so I don't even consider them an error :)

I took a brief look at weapons, and they seem OK, but I will take a closer look later, as I am too tired now to be of any use. But from what I have seen, everything is largely OK.

I found some statics with missing textures, while working on some interiors:

TR_furn_com_throne
TR_furn_com_wallscreen_01
TR_furn_t_table_01
TR_furn_t_shelf_01

And the icon for TR_misc_de_hacklo_pipe is wrong, it's the one for the "boots of apostle"...

My warnings .txt also doesn't contain any warnings about textures...

Edit: Before I forget it, all tr_furn_com_rug_ayxxx have an ugly black border (except tr_furn_com_rug_ay02b)

Everything that has Boots of Apostole icon requires an icon to be made for them. And you have a really old oot if your rugs have a black border....

And you have a really old oot if your rugs have a black border....
very unlikely, i downloaded it today and extracted the files into a clean data files directory...

Last time I checked, the imperial arrows and bolts were not assigned an icon.

I think there are plenty of weapons that don't have icons, and most of the armor doesn't seem to have any. I would *assume* this is because alot of them have yet to be made.
