The Beggining
I am fairly new to Tamerial Rebuilt and this was undoubtubly the very first question. How will the player get to the mainland. It seems really dumb to have this giant area and the only way to get there is to use the ring, ask the lady, or swim. There has got to be more ways. Yet this brings up the problum, we can't edit the main game. We arn't aloud to make a new boat or even give the option of ride to Old Ebonheart. What was decided in this respect?

Sorry Charlie, that's the way it is. Vvardenfell is quarentined because of what Dagoth Ur did so no one will let you off. No messin' wif da policy.

The quarantine does not end and we can't make new transportation.zabuza wrote:After Dagoth Ur is dead the quarintene ends so the transport opens up from Vvardenfell? Isn't it considered editing with the origianl game to make a new transport option? Just like sload said.

But how will the player arrive on one of the maps?I mean when someone begins the game how does he go there? It will be eaten by those fish(I don't remember) if swimm. So this is my idea. How about adding a new sign that gives you the spell "Levitate".This won't touch Vardenfell. When you begin the game you just use the levitation spell to fly.(The spell must have some limits,so the player have to think at his path to one of the maps).

This is going to be an unpopular view with the experienced population of TR, but perhaps we should add a fast travel option in the form of a quest and payment. Say, there's an NPC in Sadrith Mora who wants a couple of Daedra's hearts, and once you've got them, he mentions he'a got a boat, and for 1000 gold, he can ferry you over to the Map 1 coast.

Well, if there is a silt strider service outside Mournhold, it aint really all that bad IMO. I swam over from Dagon Fel to Map 1 without too many slaughter fish bites... still if you're allergic to fish you could always shell out for a water walk spell/potion, good chance for people to up that alteration skill
One thing I have thought about though, is that will people on the mainland consider you dangerous, since you have come from VF? It seems that everyone in the game knows you're an "Outlander", so it may stand to reason that mainland people may think of you as potentially diseased.

Umm, its not that far Zabuza. With an atletics of 5000 (hehehe) it takes seconds, with a normal dude with athletics and speed of about 50, it will take like 2 minutes. of course if you really want fast travel you can make a plugin for yourself.

I doubt anyone would be able to tell you were in Vvarvenfell just by looking at you. When they say outlander they mean not-from-Morrowind, so that wouldn't be a problem.Orix wrote:One thing I have thought about though, is that will people on the mainland consider you dangerous, since you have come from VF?
