Player meets a Temple priest. He gives the Player a following quest:
In the same city where you meet the priest there's a house which is haunted by an Ancestor Ghost. Player gets a spellbook where is a spell that is used to vanish ghosts. Player takes the book and enters the house. The haunting is made with sound effects like whispering and such. Player finds a lectrurn in the house. Player activates it. A message box opens. Player must remember the spell among three choices (like in the acting quest in Mournhold). If player picks the wrong choice there will be some sound effects and player gets some frost damage but player can still try again. If player picks the right choice the Ancestor Ghost appears. Player has to either persuade the ghost to leave the house (via dialogue) or attack it. When the player has succesfully won the ghost and returned to the Temple the priest will give the player a scroll that can be used to summon ancestor ghosts as a reward.

Couldn't do it. There was an error message that said:Sload wrote:Please repost this in the Quest Design forum.
"Location data string was incorrect. See the appropriate tutorials for reference. The output was: The coordicate string was empty"
Is there something I did not understand?

You have to have at least one coordinate string in the Quest Path box.
Open up Quest/NPC map in Firefox.
Open the menu on the top left.
Click "Insert Nodes".
Minimize the menu.
Find the general area/city of the quest.
Click.
Reopen menu
Click "Get coordinates" (Or something like that)
Past the coordinate string into the quest path box.
The thing is, though, this quest is a little vague in places, add some more detail, and it could be nice quest, maybe for Map 2.

Answers:horodnicdragos wrote:This is an interesting quest but whose house was that? And why was it hunted?Where do you find the member of the temple? And just a little problem. The reward is a bit small.Modify the reward. How about a ring that summons a ghost.Or something that have a bigger value.
1. House has been abandoned for a long time. Now it has been brought by someone who wants to get rid of the ghost. That "someone" isn't needed in this quest.
2. The house is haunted because ghosts are evil. This ghost just picked a house and started haunting.
3. Member of the Tribunal Temple can be found in the Temple in Necrom.
4. And reward isn't small. A power to summon ghosts isn't a small reward. Well, it's small if you can summon it for only 2 secs but I meant summoning a ghost for a long time. And what difference does it make if the item used to summon isn't a scroll but a ring?

two common misconseptions cause if i remember correctly the ghost of the widowed Vabdas's husband was a good ghost.Odowacar wrote: The house is haunted because ghosts are evil. This ghost just picked a house and started haunting.
also ghost usually hang were they were either killed or died(for revenge) or a place that was happy in their life (most children ghosts and "peace walkers")
