A Lover Betrayed
A quite form of dismissal
Alone with the waves of the sea
Feeling a bit like the ship that I'm in
Tossed about life wastefully
My heart has been torn and removed
By one I used to call friend
All I have now where a mem'ry once lived
Is a hatred I'll keep 'till my end
What have I done to welcome this curse
Did I give too much of my soul?
And what is the thing that makes the gods cruel
And leave me a dark empty hole?
I wait for the rocks and the shipboards to meet
And send me, cold, down to my death
And I'll scream his name, in a watery voice
with hate on my very last breath
