MOUNTS???
Is there anyway to include mounts in tamriel or is that just either illegal/not with the group's policy or too hard?
A mount would help navigate Tamriel when its complete,
and would be really cool.
If yes, maybe include things like taming, so you could ride on some of the more docile creatures?
Thanks a lot

I also don't believe that any of the mount mods work all that well? Just wait for TESIV, it will be here soon enough.

Now I get what you're saying but one tiny problem with that idea: All the docile creatures I've seen except the Gaurs are really small. A Dunmer rideing a scrib = Comedic Gold.Icetroll wrote: If yes, maybe include things like taming, so you could ride on some of the more docile creatures?

Hmmm, I suppose Guars, Kwama Workers, and domesticated Kagourti and Alits, either bred or tamed, afterall even the fiercest creatures can be tamed on earth... yes, I know Tamriel isnt earth, but I'd thought I'd say it anyway!.
Having contient specific mounts would be pretty ace.

That's what I've wondered. So, I just took the Pegas Horse Ranch scripts and used them with pack guars. It's a quick and dirty work-around, but it's nothing that I ever intend for anyone else's use (I'd have to get max's permission for that). It actually doesn't look that bad, but the saddles aren't made for guars, so there's some clipping and such (which I don't mind because I rarely use the third person view).Saibot wrote:Why hasn't anyone made ridable Guars? It's always horses.
There's also a concept art piece on page 6 of The Art of Morrowind which seems to show a person riding a guar. There's even proof that people ride Guars in the Unnamed Book.
Actually, I know of at least two mods for ridable guars, but they're for the French version.Saibot wrote:Why hasn't anyone made ridable Guars? It's always horses.
And they use scripts that are kinda primitive compared to those of MadMax's Pegas Ranch. I know Max said his scripts could be adapted to any creature, including guars, though.
Sup, I have heard rumers that their are mount mods out there, but i cannot find anything. This leaves me with a problem, as I am currently working on an overhaul mod, and it would be perfect to add a mount ablility to the mod. does any one know of any tutorials that would deal with it?
P.s soz for any spelling errors.

There is no good or evil. Only those with power and those who are to weak to seek it.

Well, mad max's 'pegas horse ranch' is quite excellent but there is also a mod called 'reign of fire' that has a very nice quest and at the end of it gives you the ability to have your own dragon, feed him and see watch him grow day by day, until he becomes a huge hi-res monster which you can ride, thanks to a heavily modified script of max's horse ranch mod. And I dare say that I've never imagined such excellent control and behavior of a mount in a MW mod.
If any modders feel like working on mount mods, they can find both I mentioned in morrowind summit (google for these 2 words), just check by using the search engine of the site in the 'mod database' section.
