Well, the art certainly fits your description. You have a nice style. I hope you plan on posting a few more pieces whenever you have time. So far so good.

Hey- Does anybody know if we need tribal art concepts? i'm in the midst of making a portfolio for a tatoo parlor and have a decent amount of good tribals around. Im pretty sure they would fit in a morrowind setting.

I'm sure we could use some tribal sketches to help out conceptualizing the eastern or more isolated people of Hammerfell

Heres one of my designs I thought may look cool in a morrowind setting. I'd love ideas for what it could be used for.

That second one looks like it would be a nice full back tattoo. Then again, maybe I've just been playing too much Fable.

yeah- fable is a great game- if it had only been more open ended, it would have ROCKED. One thing i really enjoyed was the haircuts/ tatooing ability to costomize your character... would something like that be possible in a TR?

there auseume, also do i have your permission to use them for fable (i got lost chapters so i can make my own tatoos)

also tatoos can be applyed in morrowind but it means you can't where clothing at the time and have to have BB's instaled but it does end with a good outcome.

These are quite fascinating, and well done designs.

Hammerfell? You are kidding, right Haplo? If we go to Hammerfell, I don't know what I will do, but it won't involve TR.

These are really nice. Could you do me a favor and work on some more Islamic-style designs? I would like to see if I can apply any of them to Hammerfell architecture ideas.

Rowan, I love those tribal designs. I have a few armors in my own art thread, but most are very plain. I was wondering if you could design some that would go on armor like filigree. Let me know.

You got a very nice style on your concepts. :) Those tatto pics are so detailed that they might even be added tu textures.

Keep up the good work! :)

also, you can host your pics here:

wow, nice indeed. if i ever deside to get a tatoo (and i decide to make it something un-geeky) i know who to go to.

however, could you please use 3rd party hosting for the pics? it takes up alot less bandwith. (like those viking posted)

random idea... generaly, paterns like this could be used on anything... so, if there are some that are kinda islamic-looking, they can be aplied irectly to textures for hammerfell tapestries, buildings (like dex said) or something.

Hello there, Rowan. :)

I concur that your illustration of the Khajit accurately suits the description provided. This feline obviously has that sense of invincible arrogance on his face. :)

Your tribal designs are simply beautiful and I could easily see them featured as body art as well as in-game textiles (clothing, banners, etc.). If that tattoo parlour has any sense, they will relish these creations. :)

Wow, those are cool! I especially like the first of the new ones, both variations. I'd love to see these on a character.

Welcome to the project by the way, I don't think i said hi in your welcome thread, so hello. Glad to see you're already making an effort. :)

Do keep us updated, I have to say these are looking great.
I wonder if you could fasion a couple with the symbols for the great houses? Just a thought.

Q. what program are you using?

also some dagoth tatoos would be cool

Edit: that skull one would make such a cool in game mask prehaps not that protective but more ceramonial with the back, sides and top of head showing. to hold it to the face would just string tied around the back. colours probably would be gold, black, red and other colours that are ceramonial.

I actually made the heart of Akulakan as a tribal, thanks for reminding me and here it is. and yes, i think the mask would be really cool as a ritual mask, i was thinking maby daedric, like Hircine or something, because, besides the horn, the right side has kind of a werewolfyness to it. Thats what i was originally trying to portray, but it wandered a little. I wanted to give the sense of a latent evil in sentient beings, the kind of evil hircine manipulates in his hounds.Heres the heart, i hope you enjoy it.

Oh yeah~ im using Microsoft picture it. I dont use it to creat the entire design, i draw, scan, the mess with the placement and contrast.

Sure Turelio. I'd love to make u a design. When u have the time, get back to me with specifics for a tat ud be interested in. I take it as an honor to have that question asked. Here's some new concept art. Here I have an Argonian Male and a concept piece i think may make a cool argonian weapon. I took the weapon style from an ancient Aztec weapon, more or less a sword, lacking a metal blade, which seems appropriate, for argonians have not really honed the art of metalurgy. instead of a blade, its a wooden club with obsidian(Ebony) glass razors on the side.I also pictured the handle bound in some type of reptilian leather, to make it a little more Argonian. hope ya like it!(click in on the club for a better view... the small size kinda takes away from it.)

could you make a tatoo that incorperates redmoutain? maybe one that incorperates moon and star, these would go great in the book also any other cultural symbols like gods, daedra, myths, stuff like that for the nords you can use the ingame ones they have on their faces for refernce on how they do the patterns and what the tatoo is based on (i think most of them are based on bears, wolves and other things like that that are sacred).

Nice concepts.
Other people were talking about that kind of weapon for Argonians, the thread is here: http://tamriel-rebuilt.org/old_forum/viewtopic.php?t=12630&highlight=argonian+weapon

Oh, and I forgot to mention this before;

Ah, very intricate! I can imagine a certain language of tattoos emerging between tribes, much like a personal and community identification.

Thanks man. Sounds like a great idea.Im pretty sure they do that in real life in certain cultures, or did. Anyways, I have some nice designs of kagrenac's tools on their way, and i think there gonna be awesome. Well, ive done some new work and started work on the house tats.. tell me which you think they should be... i kinda think this one looks a lil Hlaalu-ish.

K Guys... nu pic... I think its pretty good... this may not happen in real Tamriel/ Black marsh, but i totally tricked out this argonian... aztec style. Enjoy!

Ok TR surfers.. I'm on a bit of a Black Marsh tangent, and waking up late for class today and my staying home gave me some extra time to concept. I think u guys are gonna like this one. Today i got an urge to do a BM concept of a large reptilian or ampibian dweller of the marsh, and was first going to go with the hellbender.. a gigantic real live salamander... but while i was surfing pics, i found some great ones of alligator snappers and thought they definitely had promiss. I started just trying to make the turtle, and it kinda metomorphosed into a ... i dont know what.. a marsh dragon or something. I hope you guys like it,

~Rowan

I came up with a hammerfell concept, cause it seems everone else is.... This is my first clothing concept as well, soo enjoy!

YAY TES XMAS CARROLS!!!! Jingle Bells, Fargoth Smells, Daggoth Layed an egg......

Ok- got another concept for you guys. The visage of a Khajit, modeled after a Serval cat. I think it came out pretty cool. Enjoy!

Once again, very remarkable work, Tiernan! The snapping turtle/ferocious dragon beast is awesome (I know that maw would scare the bejeezus outta me)!

Also, I'm simply infatuated with that tribal Argonian, along with the intricate tattoos. I'd love to see more!
