I know this is in "Finished" and is written by an esteemed member, but due to who touchy the Falmer subject is, could you give this a quick lore check, Arth? I will add it once you approve.

This is very, very good. Is the intention of this book to imply that everyone is subject to the Elder Scrolls? The only issues that I have with it are minor:
"Consider this: when I will some event to occur and it seems that I possess the necessary capabilities to spur that event’s transpiration, the actual fruition of that event is not guaranteed."
-This seems to suggest some arrogance on the authors part, almost like he sees himself as a deity. If this isn't the intention, could you revisit the "when I will some event to occur..." part?
"They created the worlds and the laws which may suggest or refute the possibility of mortal freedom (depending upon whether they are free or not), but did they create these laws spontaneously or did they base them off of higher laws by which they are themselves governed?"
-Long sentence
"Unfortunately, it seems that I can merely raise questions and not properly answer them. However, this work has hopefully raised questions worth consideration within the reader’s mind"
-I don't like how you used 'raised'(even with a suffix change) twice in two sentences before the word 'questions.'
All in all, this is a wonderful piece of work. So tell me now, does it imply something about the Elder Scrolls themselves? Or some other higher, unmentioned power?

Thanks, Xui'al.
1st fix: the intention was more to imply that people believe in the freedom of their own actions because they will, or desire, those actions to take place. I used the word "will" to make the free will association. I shall clarify this in the text.
2nd fix: I'll break it up a bit. But by philosophy standards, it's not too nasty . . . ever read any Kant?
3rd fix: consider it done.
This piece addressed two things:
1) You got this one, pretty much. Prophecy guides many things in Tamriel, and the Elder Scrolls contain those prophecies. However, whether or not the author would say that it truly addresses the Elder Scrolls or prophecy in the more general sense I cannot say.
2) The nature of the Aedra and thereby the nature of creation itself. The core of his question is whether absolute stasis (as represented by the Aedra) allows for the existence of free will.

Then we will await Haploization. This work is easily good enough for TIL. You should submit it there on the "Storyboard."

Wow, I can tell you really studied philosophy. Great to see the arguement of free will in Tamriel!
Is the book reffered to already written? or is it just an imaginary refrence?

It is written. We just await the sovereign and powerful liturature master to approve it! Bow before Haplo!

My allusion to the original work is a not-so-subtle reference to Immanuel Kant's Groundwork of the Metaphysic of Morals (Iman Kanten). The work isn't written in the world of Tamriel, but I kind of wanted this as a response.
Boompiee: By all means, I'd be interested in seeing the response.

Howdy folks. Nice read, and a nice response, as well. I'll give this a lookover when I get home in about an hour or so, and anything else that needs it in the Lit Forum.

Ugh, I realize that I really need to clean up the first part that the response says is very flawed (because it is). It doesn't exactly say what I wanted it to say. The idea of that first paragraph under the presupposition section is meant to show that people aren't "free-actioned." For example, because I "will myself" to be king, I won't necessarily be the king. The author then goes on to use a derivation of this to say that people aren't free-willed either because of prophecy. The actions demanded by prophecy thus limit the will itself.

Hay Jac, I know that this work focuses on the Elder Scrolls and the Aedra, but what about the ancestral worshop that the Psijics do? Given the power of the Psijic's I would be inclined to think that the "ancestral spirits" are exceptionally powerful, even though they claim the Daedra are just the spirits of powerful people that have died.

I think this is ready for BoT, unless anyone has any objections or finalizations they wish to make?

Yes, Rieklings are the twisted image they intend to hold the legend and majesty of the Snow Elves.
That line seems like it's missing something to me. I can't place it exactly, but it seems wrong.

Boompiee, we will get to your books. Normally I do most of the first edits, but I have been travelling a whole lot lately, and I will continue to do so for some time.
You have a valid opinion. However, the books that are written here are not necessarily true. Almost all of these books are written with a bias, so as to accentuate the authors point of view on the world, on a particular individual or faction, so on and so forth. You could however, write a book such as "In Response to the 'Supposition of Freedom'" and express ingame why you think Jac is wrong.

Nah, make a new one, as this one is soon to be deleted minus the first post, when Haplo moves it over, now that it has been added to BoT, wow, I used a whole lot of commas in this sentence.
