Recently I decided to give a link to Neoptolemus's "How I became a monster" book to some people and was unable to find it on the main page. I did a search throughout the whole forum and it was not there either. Not in the Finished Books, not in the Archives. Meaning that the thread was simply deleted. Haplo was questioned and he denies any involvement.
So I would like to ask nicely who was the moderator who deleted the thread ? And what was the reason for deletion.
Seriously guys don't make implement moderator actions logging mechanism.

i didnt do it (monster was one of my fav books), but i have been noticing stuff like this myself. i think that it may be some kind of formum malfanction, cuase ive had several posts and attatchments disapear from reviewing... and i dont halucinate enough to make up something like that.

well the same has happened to my The Mage Managerie seeries in the lit forum as well like it was just wiped from existance.... and i had planed on redoing it too....
Mr. Sorry, you can still redo it. They might have been moved to the archives or deleted in the Literature forum clean up (when Haplo took over?) which took place last year. I had a thread there disappear too.
no i cant it was only on TR and in my head i found a few pieces from book two but not enough to put the story back togeather so i have decided to start a new series The Council Of Magicka
well it sure as anything wasn't me. Didn't we have some "temporarty mods" a while ago who were told to clean up? perhaps one of them didn't understand what they were supposed to be doing..
I doubt we have somebody doing it on purpose. I trust everyone who has been given mod powers, that includes those who had temporary priviledges. Threads were being moved to the archives a lot... especially books in the literature forum. If something was deleted instead of being moved I'm sure it wasn't somebody trying to be evil. I've had a quest thread of mine deleted before and it was done by accident.
Wasn't me. I only have concept art moderating powers. I doubt it was any of the temporary mods either. I trust that group of people as much as anyone else. This seems to be happening in Lit more than anywhere else, and Haplo said it wasn't him. Did anyone ask Xui'al? He's the onl other lit mod... (Not blaming you, Xui.)

I guess it is easy enough to delete a thread instead of moving it, so I would hope this is an accident. Why Neoptolemus' thread out of all of them anyway? Does anyone remember even moving it? Or more importantly, a specific disagreement in the thread?
Now I think about it, the fact that the text itself is not on the site at all, anywhere, makes this more disconcerting than just one thread going missing. Did it used to be on the front page?
I haven't deleted any threads in months, and know for sure that I didn't delete that thread. My guess is it happened during the forum cleanup, and someone with tempoary moderator powers made a mistake.
Well that thread was there for pretty long and was on the main site and now it's gone. And I repeat again. I just want to know who and why. Not eat you alive or something.
I only did some cleaning of guilds and quests forums, but I just moved most of not_totally_moronic threads into archives. I guess I even had no privileges over any other forum.
it wasn't me - not a single thread deleted by me ever
but as it seems, it was an accident, in which case the person who did it doesn't know it was him/her...
by posting useless junk on these forums you WON'T become a modder, only a spammer...
When an exterior does under review the thread temporarily dissapears is this correct? I am curious b/c claim 6-44 has dissapeared, and now seeing this I was just wondering if that indeed is the normal behavior when the claim is under review. (In other words the thread is in limbo until it is either accepted, or rejected.)

Yes, it was on the front page since it was in finished. (well, technically not the front page, but it was with all the other finished books in the 'lore' page)
And it's been put up from the current BoT version about a day after Stalker found it was missing, it's currently stickied in the literature forum atm.

Simple as that. I rarely even move threads. All I do is change the topic tag when I need to.

Sorry for adding to the spam-pile, but I was inspired:

Perhaps it will open up some jaws in this mysterious who-dunnit plight.
