Over the past few months, many people (starting with me) have "claimed" cities in their sigs. So, I decided to make a thread where we can post what we have called dibs on (so that we can all keep track). Below is a list of the "claimed" places and their modders. I’ll add more people as they post.
Elinhir - Lady Nerevar

I will also take this opportunity to remind everyone, that nothing is claimed until its officially granted. So, don’t get to attached to your dreams :p

A little birdy told me that people who did things like this (with the exception of a certain person who knows who they are) won't get the cities just because they did it.
What's finny is that most of these cities are claimed for no reason. Elinhir, Hegathe, Taneth, Gilane .. there's no lore about them and no defining characteristics. You are clinging to names that mean nothing.

The ONLY person that has secured an advanced claim is PoHa!, and that is because he did me a giant favor, and so I promised to hold Fang Lair for him.
Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, has any Hammerfell claims of ANY sort yet. Might as well take it out of your signatures now, because if you are not PoHa!, you will have to go by the claiming system just like everyone else.

To add to that, the new way of building Hammerfell province clashes utterly with this idea of lol reserving lol cities like pre-teens. We aren't building province-by-province anymore, we are building small area by small area so we can actually release stuff to the community sooner rather than later. So chill, winstons. :)

KF is one of the best modders(if not the best), the rank is not the point, and PoHa has very interested ideas and is doing a great work, sure that's not only a favod Dex does.(i shouldn't speak for him)

The main places have to be made by the best modders because the players will spend a lot of time there.

Oh and kebra I guess Swift was joking about ranking. As we have stated the claiming system won't change and first to press "Claim" button will be first to get the claim. Like it always was.

Why is it that whenever I say "oi, knock it off", people say I'm being too serious.
Whether or not people are just joking around when they say "I claim _______ for my own", I wanted to make absolutely clear that Hammerfell will be following a claim-browser based claiming system, just like Morrowind. And I know that while you all say that you are just messing around, and that you don't really have this claim, you will expect to be able to claim it when we do begin modding for Hammerfell. You can say that you don't expect it, but face it, you are.
For example, if Theo claimed Taneth before Wooty could, I can guarantee you that I would have to hear some complains from Wooty, along the lines of "why did you let him claim it, you knew I had my eyes on it since before Hammerfell was even released!"
It's easy to say that I'm being too serious, but when it all comes down to brass tacks, I am the one who ends up having to deal with all the complaints and issues with exteriors. I am trying to minimize the amount that I will have to deal with when Hammerfell is released.

As long as there's something left I can claim when I finally do get my arse in gear and learn to make exteriors and interiors I'll be happy.
Apart from that I'm aiaming on creating a few NPCs, and hopefully voicing many important ones, or doing a few lines as close as possible to the Beths voiceactors for the least important... and who knows, perhaps I'll pick up scripting and kick god's ass while I'm pulling off all those miracles
