Consearning flute I don't think that it will harm somethung - it depends on WHAT and HOW the flute will be playing and HOW it will be recorded. Anyway I not going to compose a "Concert for Flute and Orchestra".

But I am consearned that the main theme should be played not only by tutti.

I tryed playing with the music, the only thing distrcting was that it all was really good.

I don't think the music is quite interesting enough by itself to merit a distraction, seems perfectly fit for an Imperial city to me.
