irc chanel

Nope. That still tells me:

Unable to connect to server (Software caused connection abort)

The thing is, I'm certain any one of these would probably work fine, if I could figure out what's causing the abort. And if its not the firewall, then it must be a virus scanner or other security system I have running. There WAS one of those little pop-up windows that asked me if I wanted to continue blocking mIRC (just like the others were), which I duely said "unblock" to. Perhaps there's something else with that I need to do?

[Edit]Ah, I think I might have found something... while trying to connect, I opened up one of the security softwares I have, and noticed that it was scanning files from mIRC... checking now...

Yep... seems like that was what it was. Just required me to realize that the blasted software that UTulsa forces me to use is screwing with IRC...[/edit]

ok lately ive noticed that people who join the cahnnel are getting thrown off and for the las two nights no ones been there....

What's Going On?

Is this some sort of IRC client related problem?????

I'm usin Hydra an I'm on righ now the only people with me are th L bot and a Registered User who can be considered a bot, for the most part.

As stated in another thread, #tamriel now uses the Chatspike server.

So. The full name of the server for quakenet was irc.quakenet.org. Could you tell me what the full name for chatspike is too? I'm trying to get IRCle to work on a Macintosh and it can't find irc.chatspike.org

And where do you go once you reach there? I never have found where you sign in to #Tamriel, except through a yahoo search, and I didnt book mark it *slaps self*

It depends upon which IRC client you are using (ie mIRC, Trillian, HydraIRC, etc. etc.) I can help you with Trillian and ircle, but no others

If you want a quick link, just type irc://irc.chatspike.net/Tamriel into your browser and it will launnch your IRC Client and send you straight to the channel. No hassle
