TR won't be able to anything on OB without a nif exporter, etc, etc.
I expect that somebody will:

a) learn how to hex-edit that in (not ideal)

b) make a new copy of TESAME or somesuch with this kind of utility.

We can't just sit on our arses, and wait for somebody else to come up with the goods though.

Not if we have a .exe installer and just have them click 12 files or so in the Data Files menu. We should have an installer and an uninstaller anyway, for convenience.

12 files?
Each int claim is a separate esp.
Try 1200 ;)

It doesn't have collision detection or proper mapping, making it impossible to reach proper standards.

Lud, ints can be handmerged. Didn't everyone know that?

Exteriors, however, can not be merged by hand.

You mean copy-pasting them into new cells?
Or copying the data in a hex-editor?

Selecting everything in the cell, moving it slightly to the left, undoing, saving.

Its very simple. All of the refs will be marked as "editted" if you do that. So if the file that was the active file wasn't their original file, they are now merged into it.

Heh heh. Forgot about doing it that way.

12 is still very, very low: think about all the dialogue, quests and creatures being place on top. Not only that, but quests won't be able to be made across more than one ex claim. Apparently they've changed the way mods react with each other for Oblivion.

I have no idea what that would be, but I doubt there's any truth to that. I can't see how things would be different. Further, NPCs and their dialogue can all be merged equally well. Its things like heightmaps and textures that can't be merged. Actually, they might be able to, but I don't know how because I don't do that kind of thing.

I'm sure some kind of utility will become available anyway, so it hopefully won't be that much of an issue.

To calm the masses: This may be our best bet, thusfar.

I've not tried it myself. But at the very least, everyone knows that its being worked on.
