Wow, Norway is so damn beautiful. So do both of you live in the countryside, I live in the city, luckily because the dutch countryside is so damn boring, it's all flat.

It's the "city" I live in. Or... The Town.
But here in norway, that is a small city. You know, we're only 4 or 5 millions here :P
I live on a hill south of the town, just outside the "downtown".

Actually I think Beth made it on purpose. Lots of ES cities names is made as twist of RL cities names, which is cheesy indeed. Corinth being worst example of all, shame on you.

It's downright disturbing how much my part of the US (Minnesota) looks like Estonia... minus the lack of an ocean, and I only wish we had cool abandoned buildings. Closest I have to that is random chunks of some old blown-up bridge along the riverfront.
St. Paul is heavily residential and more green while minneapolis is your typical american "Gangsta" city, both are seperated by the Missisippi river gorge - which is almost like a nature reserve right in the middle of the area. Politically, it's (thankfully) the 5th most liberal area in the country; beat by Chicago, San Fransico, DC, and Boston.
Since Minnesota's beautiful nature is not only just like estonia's but way far from me (I live in the smack center of the twin cities metro), I'll supply photos of the cities instead. I live in St. Paul, but all of my better friends live in Minneapolis so I find myself there just as much.

Either/not sure/both

north dakota kinda seems like it would fit in the imperial reserve. the empty plains leading up to the highlands near the border, and the wide stretches of empty.

Hehe, I will post a few pics of my hometown Fairfield, Illinois.

Here's just a picture of the typical countryside around here. If you see this pic, you've seen all of southern Illinois (minus the miles of miles of cornfields)

Anyway, we were on vacation in Scaninavia by train and we were on our way from Trondheim to Bodø and we made a stop in Steinkjer, we stayed in a cottage on the camping site. I believe we swam in the river there and saw the salmon jumping.[/list]

I bussed through the Rocky Mountains once, during the winter... and I remember looking up out of my window... I could see the mountains on either side of my, shooting straight up into the sky, so high I couldn't see the tops, they were shrouded in the clouds.. and I just remember feeling so dwarfed.. so tiny. I know that it's a cliché to feel tiny in comparison, but until you experience it yourself, sitting at the base of a mountain with a top you can not see, a vertical wall of stone so high that it seems like it is breaking out of our atmosphere... it was a feeling I've never experienced since.
