Where do you think the next Balmora is?
"It's beside the Silt Strider in Balmora."
Such a phrase is included in many a readme for many a mod. My question is, where do you think will be the 'hot spot' for new buildings in Oblivion?

i think cheydinhal for 4 main reasons:
1)it is a hotspot for the dark brotherhood, so many people will be drawn to it
2)it has free space around the edges and on some of the island areas
3)it is the most scenic city in cyrodiil
4)it is out of the way so most people won't get there for awhile, so when they do the will want to explore the 'new city'

Skingrad, Rosethorn manor, while costing an arm and a leg, is worth every limb. For that reason I love this town. (For some fun break into the house across the street...)

I bet most people visit the Imperial City first... you can't simply ignore it when you come out of that sewer.Lady Nerevar wrote:chorol. just taking a gues because balmora was the first big city the player visited in tes3 and chorol is in tes4. chorol is also a nice setting, and has plenty of space to build.

That doesn't mean much. Balmora was one of the least open cities.final reclaimer wrote:Cheydinhal is a very open city.

Anvil (http://i2.tinypic.com/t041n5.jpg), and
Skingrad (http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Skingrad_Map), are not as open.
If it is to be openness that wins, then Chorrol trumps all.
