SLOAD MODELS
Hello, I`ve got a quick question.
Do anyone of You still have some of those Sload`s models, mentioned in THIS TOPIC ?
I spoke with Noirgrim about it, but unfortunately he doesn`t have it anymore.
It would be very useful for my Morrowind project, that`s why I`d be grateful for any informations about this stuff.
Regards

It seems you know more about TR than me lol... I don't even know if you're able to use our models. I'm not the right person to answer your question.

People ask me to put my signature here. However, I do not want to write on my LCD screen. It's a good way to ruin a perfectly good screen. -M'aiq's little brother

As far as I know, those models were never animated, so you would have a lot of work to do even if you could find the models (either Ace's or Noir's)
Sorry I couldn't help more.

I do remember that model, but I never DLed it. As for permission- Yes, anything at TR belongs to the author and he/she is free to share it with anyone. However, you may have difficulty finding either of these people, as they are no longer with us.
NEW MEMBERS: I'm not with TR anymore, so please stop PMing me. Just post your sample work in the showcase.

The sload was fully textured and had a walking animation and an attacking animation. After I left TR I dumped all of my attachements, and since then, 3DMax stopped worked, so I got rid of all of the models on my PC also. I know someone out there has the NIF file, but unfortunetly, the NIF file is all that you're going to find, as the original max file is long gone.
Someone here will be making a new sload model for Hammerfell, but it will be for Oblivion. So, check back with TR later on, and at that point, ask the modeler if they can do something for you.
EDIT: and the topic you refer to is a topic talking about the first Sload I made. I made a second one which was better. See if you can find that thread. It may give you some clues if someone had downloaded it.

While the result may not be as ideal, you can save yourself hours (or days) of modelling time by applying a high quality texture to the Sload mesh and then using the default Nvidia normal mapping plugin for a base normal map. From there, you can edit it freely to add your own details.Vernon wrote:I'm working on detailing the Sload that Ace made with a normal map that covers upwards of half a million polys - I tested a similar normal map on a model in the doom 3 engine and it ran pretty well, so I'll keep working on this for now.
